The young 'uns

Seen these lads in the U21s a couple of times and so I was glad to see them get a run-out today.

Dimaio - As mentioned in the previous thread, he was superb. His awareness is fantastic and he is always looking around him to see where the opposition is. Was able to wriggle out of a couple of challenges and his short and long passing was brilliant. I'd put him on the bench on Sunday after that.

Khan - fast, strong and with a good touch. Better prospect than Macfadzean imo

Reed - A couple of stray passes but one fantastic pass out to the right wing.

Kennedy - slightly older than the others but worth a mention. I like him, he reads the game well, is good on the ball and does well considering he's not the tallest.

You all know about Harry and George! Great to see 6 academy players on the pitch towards the end. More importantly, none of them looked out of place.

Reed - A couple of stray passes but one fantastic pass out to the right wing.

That pass was incredible. He had to thread it through a tiny gap at extreme pace and with perfect timing to meet the runner. It's the sort of ball that, as a player, you see but don't have to time to play before the defenders read it. But he nailed it.

Plus it was well past his bedtime.
