Me, I've got the delights of a new manager, I can't stop singing either "Hey Micky" or "He's got no hair but we don't care!", I'm halfway through a great DVD boxed set with more to watch, I've still got shitloads of booze left, and I'm happy that I'm not a miserable twat all the live-long-day.

I'm happy to have a sense of perspective. I'm happy that we've got a new player at the top of the screen that I've just noticed.

Basically, shit could be worse. So, with maybe just a little tongue in cheek, be happy!

Anyway, I'm happy enough with the appointments made, I'm certainly glad Cork is back - but I don't know why.

I'm glad a new year is coming, not that it should make a difference, but sometimes the psychological reasoning behind a new year can help push things forward.

I'm even becoming optimistic about our new manager being a roaring success.

Finally settled this managerial mess with a man that will keep us up and perhaps get fans back again, but this won't be easy. Results AND performances are a must. But fans need to be able to trust the club's commitment too. Back the manager with signings, not expensive ones possibly academy lads on pro deals, just ones to do a job and get the squad back to a decent size with fewer loanees.

I'm feeling surprisingly happy about the new manager. Got a good feeling that the good old days are coming back. We didn't have the quality necessarily, but the players always gave the proverbial 110% and the fans roared them on to victory.

I'm also happy that after many years I am going to be working in Sheffield again, and will no longer have a 120 mile round drive to get to the office.

I'm Happy that Micky Adams is in charge, I'm happy that the club can move forward. I'm happy because the new year will bring many new changes for me. I'll be doing more coaching courses and the teams should finally get a chance to play again. But most of all I'm happy because in 3 weeks (or whenever it decides to come) a new blade will be born, and I'll be a dad (also shitting myself might I add)
