As late as 1997? I remember he scored an own goal that game as well. Clearly it wasn't his debut, I think he had returned from a long injury.

Re the bogey team thought, it looks like from 1996 to 2001 we managed to beat them only once in 12 games despite generally finishing well above them in the league.
