The Transfer Market & The Blades

Ive just been reading that United are interested in bringing Tongey back but Derby are favourites to sign him. I would love to see him back at the lane. Our midfield would look great with him alongside some of the other lads. The directors should get their heads together and approach him with a decent offer. He loves the Blades and would jump at the chance to come back!

Kozluk, Tonge...are we trying to re-create the promotion side? I assume Bromby will be re-signed again in a week or so...

One good game out of every five games played for Michael Tonge said it all for me. On his day an absolutely cracking player, but sadly those performances became more and more or a rarity as time went on, and in the end i thought selling him to Stoke for £2m was an excellent bit of business.

Amen to that brother! Couldn't agree more.

We really have made a habit of getting top dollar for what are, at the end of the day, average players and then selling our top players for peanuts...

More excuse like last season? We have had a full summer to recruit players McCabe said last season was difficult due to the playoffs so why are we 10 days to go and still 3 or 4 short??

Where do you think the problem/fault lies ?

Where do you think the problem/fault lies ?

3 reasons.

One, we have a smalll squad in the first place so we need to bring in more than other clubs.

Two, our plan this season is not to spend much money, making it difficult to attract players.

Thirdly, it is due to having to wait on PL clubs setting their squads before trying to pick up loan players, although again we are so reliant on loans because we will not be spending money to sign our own players.

I know they're the real reasons, I was wondering how DP was going to spin it against Blackwell because that seems to be his inference.
