Can’t imagine Billy leaving us and I hope the board learnt their lesson when they sold Fjørtoft and Deano when we looked certs for promotion

Did they? I wouldn't know.

I haven't set foot in that shit hole for over ten years and I probably never will again.

We’ll see. I understand they’re going to tag you when they take you back to the Football Referral Unit.

80 league goals in his current spell for the Blades.

Next landmark, needs 12 more for 100 league goals for the Blades to join the '100 club'...

Harry Johnson (jnr) 205
Alan Woodward 159
Keith Edwards 144
Jimmy Dunne 143
Doc Pace 140
Fred Tunstall 129
Billy Gillespie 129
(Sir) Jimmy Hagan 117
Jock Dodds 114
Joe Kitchen 110
Jack Pickering 104
Alf Ringstead 101

Our charter, and indeed sole, member of the 200 club is also one of the very few people to be all time record scorer for two clubs.

He's top scorer at Mansfield, where funnily enough he's the only person to reach 100 goals.

Looking at that list, levelling with Hagan is more than achievable for Billy. I think he will get his 100 this season.

Isn't it about time Jimmy Hagan was immortalised with a statue. Amongst the older generation like me dad he is still regarded as the 'greatest'. A man that even bucked the trend by refusing to be sold by a board that wanted to cash in on him by selling him to the Pigs.
Soon there will be No one left with these memories to push his cause.
A controversial view but i'd rather see a Jimmy Hagan statue + Woodward/Badger statue than the current statue of a former Pig player & supporter than never wore a blades shirt in his life.

You mean like this?:

Didn't he miss a pen earlier this season? Away at Blackburn?

It's United's 130th birthday on the 22nd March and the commissioning of a statue would be an excellent commemoration. My vote for greatest United player of all time would have to be for Nudger Needham. No one Blade won so much - the 'Prince of Half Backs'.
