Apparantly according to someone I work with who is ITK, on Monday when Harry Redknapp loaned Kyle Naughton to Boro, he recieved a very angry telephone call from Kevin Blackwell playing hell as he thought that if Naughton was going anywhere on loan, it would be back to us. Redkapp has taken exception to this phonecall, and said that he is our player and we can loan him wherever we want, and if that is not good enough then we will have Kyle Walker back as well, hence the reason why there has been a shock recall back to Spurs.

I'm can't say if this is 100% accurate if it has happened but I think it makes a lot of sense as to why Tottenh
have suddenly reneged on his loan deal.

I love a conspiracy theory, but it wouldn't suprise me if this was right.

An excellent conspiracy theory.

I just think Harry draws lots for which of his players completes his tax return.

:)

Did Micalijo tell you that :D

I've heard from a friend of a friend down there that he simply wanted to get 6 months football in both players and when the opportunity to get rid of Hutton came up, he needed Kyle back, simple as. He may well have gone back on his word about the season loan but there was a clause so it could always have happened. As people have said, we could have not agreed to the clause if we'd wanted a guaranteed season but we didn't.

yeah i heard that too.. the rumour doing the rounds down in london is that harry wanted shot of hutton but the offer to take him came in after he'd agreed to let kyle n. go to boro it was too good an opportunity to miss so he had to invoke the clause.. bad luck on kyle n. though after he'd waited all that time.

Only semi-serious here... But if I was Harry I'd be loaning my young players to a club other than United. We specialise in strangling the promise out of young talent.

We're like the movie producers on the wrong side of Hollywood. The bright eyed young actors arrive in town and soon find themselves doing dirty work under the producer's desk... Metaphorically speaking.

:(

i wouldnt blame kb for that phone call to harry rednapp if its true, think we were all shocked when the news of kyle goin til boro.

This is almost definatley true, it seems the only logical explanation for it. There is absoloutley no way that walker is even close to tottenhams first team.

It's crap. I know from my sources that the reason Naughton has gone to 'Boro instead of us is because they can afford the £9000 a week wage and we can't!

Walker was taken back for the simple reason of Spurs have loaned out 2 FB's and want Walker back there as they see him as a bigger prospect believe it or not.

I have it from sources at Spurs that Metal ^^^ is just about spot-on.

They actually signed both Ks with the view of always sending KW back on loan for a season. KN was signed to be back-up as they were very confident of off-loading Hutton in the summer, which was why KN featured in so many pre-season games for them. It never happened of course, and it looked like it wasn't going to happen in this window which is why they agreed to Boro taking KN on loan, if the Hutton deal had been agreed first KN would still be at Spurs and KW would still be at BDTBL. Then it suddenly fell in to place for Hutton to go after they'd agreed with Boro. Harry has had KW watched on numerous occasions and is very impressed with the reports, so recalled because he had to having let two RBs leave and because he wants to have 6 months to see him close-up.

my brother the yid has also heard that the timing of the hutton loan and KN's move prompted the recall.

That's definitely not right as Walker has been rubbish most of the season and has only survived in the team because everyone else makes up for his continuous mistakes.

Once more Len you prove that you see things with in a different spectrum of light than most.

Walker's had a few bad games this year but been brilliant and gives a great attacking push. I'll bet money that Walker will play for England before Naughton does. ..and i like Naughton!

Indeed. The improvement last night was there for all to see.

I was persuaded by those posters yesterday who made me realise that Walker hadn't been by far our best player and was actually holding us back with mistakes only just made up for by the rest of the defence.
Presumably last night those defenders were so confused by no longer having to make up for the liability that was Kyle Walker that they ended up letting in three.

That is either a fine piece of irony and I applaud you OR you haven't been reading this forum since Saturday.

I still think Walker will be back in a week or so.

The season loan deal is cancelled, and a new loan setup.
Spurs can ask us to pay part of his wages and can now recall him if they get an injury.

Under the season loan once January was over they couldn't get him back.

I think if he does come back he would be subject to the 93 day rule and I'm not sure where Spurs would stand on the recall front (I'm sure they can only recall within the 1st month) which kind of defeats the object as far as they're concerned. Mind you, as they inserted a clause into a season long loan I'm sure we would agree to anything !
