I can fully understand why people are chanting this (out of respect for one of our better players), but I'm not sure during the game is the right time. I honestly think we need to get right behind Lundstram (who I believe will be a really good player for us if given the chance), and it can't be too good for the lads confidence if all he can hear are the fans chanting the players name he's replaced. Before the game, during half time and after the game would be more appropriate in my opinion (and I'm sure Paul Coutts himself would want the fans to get behind Lundstram during the game).

"...but with Eddie Colquhoun, promotion is soon......"

Do we have to stop singing this as well?

I take your point but those players are long gone, so to speak, albeit never forgotten.

We need a chant for Lundstrum. That would help I reckon.

It's what they do when they learn a new song, hammer it into the ground. Same with the Jack O'Connell one.

Whilst not even bothering with the simplest of chants for other players that could give them a boost...

I don’t like the song as it’s just the latest in a string of tunes which every team up and down the country adopts for one of their players. There’s nothing special and unique about it, however I doubt it being sung is having any negative effect on Lundstram what so ever.

Can't be suggesting that the fans are anything less than perfect though. It mortally offends them.

But whey, he's not done great things for us yet, we only chant for those who have, not to encourage and boost those who haven't...

He scored a goal against Forest. Thats enough in my book. :)

Should have been sung at Fulham match as a show of appreciation and not again until he comes back.

What's the Lundstram chant, Rick?

Slightly off topic of the OP - what was the song that was being sung on the Kop on Saturday to the tune of "Oh what a night" ?

I was sat in the South Stand and didn't quite catch all the words (due to all the moaning going on around me !!)

Cheers

Lundstram, everyone spells his name Lundstrum, it probably fucks him right off and that.

Not sure of the tune.

To the tune of go Go West

Lundstram! It’s spelt with an A.
Lundstram! We’ll get it right one day.
Lundstram! His names only got one U
Lundstram! He’s not couttsy but he’ll fucking do!

How’s that?

No better than the first time I read it HB. In fact it's worse.
