Anyone else follow this ? I found it a bit confusing at first .it's a fourteen team league table that excludes home games against the other 14 for example our home win against palace was 0 points but our draw at Bournemouth was one points our loss to Leicester was -3 and our draw at Chelsea is a point as the top six are treated as a bonus

Here's the table Screenshot_20190902-115126.jpg

Expectations changed from 2 points / game for promotion to 1 point / game for safety. Either way it is a v enjoyable journey

I’ll settle for the real table thanks very much..

In our mini league for survival we’re not up against Leicester and Everton or Wolves, who will all survive.

The rest are fair game in that list as beatable..

I can see where whoever it was is coming from but with some of the 'top 6' throwing points all over it'd probably be better as an 18 team league at which point you really are talking about the full league table anyway.

Sounds a wank waste of time, I prefer the real table, where we sit above Chelski, with Spurs and Manc Poo.

Hang on, if it excludes home games against the other 13 why do we get negative 3 for our Leicester defeat?

I thought it was going to be a straight league of the 14, just excluding all games involving the top 6. That might have been interesting. This is just unnecessarily complicated and I have no idea what it’s trying to show.

KISS. Buy an abacus and divide the 5 points gained by the 4 games played = 1.25 points per game.

Multiply that 1.25 point average by the number of games in a season and achieve 47 points. 👍 = 13th place last season.

Champions League can be next seasons target. ;)

UTB.

Fuck knows
I'm lost
* Edit*
Ok so I've just reread it so points lost at home are negative but only points gained away are positive so if you lose away it's just a zero and if you win at home that's a zero

I'll keep you all posted how it turns out as I can tell you're all fascinated

Ok, I’ll have a stab at this then...

Anyone outside the top six could realistically get sucked into a relegation scrap, and you need 39 points to assume safety, which is the number of points you’d get if you beat the other 13 at home and lost all your other games.

So dropped points at home against the other 13 are negative, gained points away or against the top 6 are bonuses. If you finish the season on zero or higher you should stay up.

That’s my best guess anyway. Still seems rather convoluted and assumes the top 6 will be unchanged...

Erm yeah think so
Have to see how it develops as the season goes on

Is this the one that proves that our fixtures are the easiest ones in the history of the world ever?!
