Or is it the worlds most anal referee ?

If we beat Arsenal on Monday it would be great to hear “are you Tranmere in disguise??”

Although we’d need to be 4-0 up with 1 min to go to be safe after Dean gives them 3 late penalties.

He wasn't as bad as I imagined he would be. Let the game flow for the most part, brought play back when there wasn't a clear advantage for both teams and got the card out when it was warranted. For the stick he gets he's better than most in England

He missed a first half penalty for them. He was also too card happy for me. But outside of that he got most decisions spot on.

I agree too quick to book Fleck after 6 minutes, he won the fkin ball. That decision made Flecks performance all the more remarkable over the next 84 minutes plus. Deans best decision was the Arsenal players simulation in the penalty area. He was only a yard away and got it spot on.

If it was that blatant VAR would have given it
A bit like the one for Watford on Saturday that the ref didn’t give and it was right in front of the camera?

VAR -haven’t given a penalty decision all season as far as I’m aware.

I expected quite a few cards from Mike Dean and thought he was harsh on Fleck but otherwise he was pretty much spot on. Their shouts for penalties were a joke, well done for booking the diving twats.

Baldock was knocked over from behind in their box and it was not shoulder to shoulder. As well as a harsh yellow on Fleck where he won the ball with a good tackle. I thought we were in for a tough afternoon after that early yellow on Fleck but Dean did well overall.

That's because they can't.
Ok, maybe I should have rephrased my answer better..I was only responding to post 47.

As far as I’m aware, the VAR hasn’t asked the referee to look at any incident which could result in a penalty this season.

my point to the original post still stands, he missed a blatant penalty for them for shirt pulling.

Thought he was excellent tonight, obviously aware of”cheating Arsenal antics , rightly booked there Tom Daley impressionist ( booked Goldie too)
Game flowed well, there whinging on about shirt pulling, never a pen.
Great atmosphere, brilliant 3 points, superb fitness levels from our boys, Mousse still needs improve his and McBurnie well!
