Also, as I’m sure inevitably both will be raised later, the statement “Leon is lazy” is about as accurate as the statement “Sharp contributes nothing if he isn’t scoring”.

Awesome!

The ref should also be commended. Gave the game great flow.

Hos linesman missed the worst offside though, but what a save on the 3 on 0!

I'm in Scotland so not heard or seen anything apart from the result. How was it? Did we score from a corner?!!!!!!

Frustrating game but some lovely play in there. Big positive that Leon was good today. Held it up, some lovely skill and only an excellent save away from being on the score sheet.

Woodburn seems out of his favoured position to me though but I'm sure he'll adjust.

And Bill, if only he was 23 again. Absolute legend.

Get in! Perfect that we scored at the death against the time wasters, the table is looking better already.

Basham was getting some stick in the first half but then that cross at the end. Well done Bash.

Best part is all the idiots streaming out the ground at 1-1 with 3 minutes to go missed it haha

Why would you leave at 1-1 with extra time to still be played!?

It has also been a while since we got a later winner.

Great result, but an average performance from the sounds of things (was limited to Radio Commentary only today unfortunately).

It sounded like we created a decent amount of chances without dominating, but the finishing is still pretty poor. Leon Clarke continues to be wasteful in front of goal and Jack O’Connell’s offensive headers continue to consistently miss the target.

Good to hear that Oliver Norwood has hit the ground running, he’s instantly improved us with his delivery and speed and accuracy on the ball... not quite as pleasing to hear that Woodburn is going to need a lot more patience and nurturing than we first hoped, I’m still not sure we have figured out how best to utilise him.

Anyway, we’ll take the win. Last season we absolutely dominated in almost every game we played with Coutts in the side. Sadly, I think those days are gone. We seem to have stabilised though and we’ll compete (as we did today) in most games. Some we’ll win, some we’ll lose and we’ll finish 9-15th I imagine. Unless proper investment arrives, I imagine Wilder will be fighting every year to maintain us around that level.

That's a negative view and harsh from the Comms.

Leon looked good today and did his job well (hold up) and his chance was struck perfectly and the strength was great to get in front of his man, it was just a great save. I don't recall any other shockers and I've been a critic of Leon.

O'Connells chance (unless I missed another) was an overhead kick thing and it was pushed over the bar I believe. It went for a corner anyway.

Woodburn was a bit wobbly is the only thing I'd agree with out of that lot.

I'd like to think we're just readjusting to having a Coutts like player in the team again.

We need a pacey striker and then we've got some tasty ingredients.

Not as foolish as your anti Billy Sharp campaign looks now.

I’ve just given him MOTM in Shoutbox. I see what’s happening on the pitch, not what I would like to be happening. He put in some effort today, played intelligently and was on the spot for the winner. Hopefully he will keep it up and continue to get involved in games like he did today.

Your boy Jordan was shite by the way. Scored a tap-in and did nowt else. Don’t let that deter you from cap-doffing further pigs though. Got it wrong? Who cares? Same again next time. Bound to be right eventually.

What a win, what a feeling. We were great today best i had seen us since the cardiff game on Holiday Monday. Annoying to be level at Half time as norwich took advantage of the only chance they had. but even at 1-1 wouldve been delighted as in final minutes when i had resigned myself to a point. I thought of course we are own worst enemy so many wasted opportunities alot like the Cardiff game i mentioned. I was delighted because As if play like that you will succeed more often than not. & when the man of the match came up i couldnt choose as all 4 had been brilliant in their own way. Even Clarke i thought had his best game in long while

We got fortunate a few times with the heart in mouth stuff where norwich couldve nicked all 3. Henderson outstanding save he got us them 3 pts when he stopped from the 1 on 1 & im in minority i thought it hit oconnell so wasnt offside but i am 30m away so cant be sure. I saw Henderson amazing 100 metre celebration but anyone got a video of chris wilder as he had a quote of i will never apologise for celebrating (which is quite right) assuming Daniel Farke got mardy. Though i admit Norwich werent as bad as last season as was possible to be worse but old habits still die hard & reminded them Cheaters never prosper. In words of katy perry karma's not a liar. She keeps receipts

That’s a bit harsh.

The positives
It was an improvement compared to Swansea, in spells we played a high tempo and Norwich couldn’t cope, we created loads of half chances. Norwood was impressive and already looks like he might end up being our best player, the goalie Henderson looks an improvement on last season. Sharp and Clarke showed a lot of effort and played reasonably well. We even looked dangerous from corners due to Norwoods excellent delivery.

The negatives
We had a lot of good situations but just lacking quality at the final moment, our strikers lack pace so the final ball needs to be a precision pass to give them a chance, Norwich didn’t create much but had the 2 best chances and should have scored 2 in the 2nd half.
Our worse performer was the new lad Woodburn who looked out of sorts, so we still need to find a position to bring out his best.

Overall we just about deserved the win in what was an entertaining match. We weren’t great but it’s a step in the right direction and the signs look promising. Early days yet though.
