important win tonight, as pulis sets up his teams well. as known from his many yrs in the premier league. made tougher with the late injury to O'Connell, & Basham suspension then losing Baldock 1st half, after landing awkwardly after a challenge. 1st half i thought we the better team Middlesbrough had a few distance shot but nothing to trouble but struggled possession wise, i think duffy was saved for reading. because it wasnt his sort of game. with pulis making it scrappy & keeping high pressing. then 2nd half we stepped it up brought on madine who becoming an astute signing. it was becoming a matter of time till we got that winner
tony pulis apparently moaning no idea why, stearman looking like a great jump & fry doesn't. lost the battle. nothing else in it. i also had to watch quest. as i hoping they'd show that 2nd half spell as i couldnt understand how our players can be hauled down 3 times 2 in the box (madine nailed on pen) , 1 outside. & ref deems its legal. funny how pulis forgot to mention that
im glad dowell had a good game today, im 1 of the few who liked him since he joined & long hes here the more he understand the system, him & fleck were brilliant. more 2nd half. also mention to dean henderson tough few days after villa but showed his resilience. he kept us in that game with some brilliant saves & punches
