If we win, we're going up, if we lose then every player is crap, needs replacing and the manager is clueless.

Football fans are a manic depressive lot, but I can't ever remember the reactions being so regularly extreme as they have been since relegation.

The end of the world is nigh when the team is announced. 15 minutes into a game and x player should never wear the shirt again. By halftime the manager and Board should quit.

This Board needs some Prozac.

That's football!

It was never this bad though, surely? Everyone gets angry/down after a defeat but there's a difference between slagging players off for their performance and, say, and demanding they are sold.

It seems to have got a lot worse recently.
Modern times innit.

Expectations are higher, I believe, because we know they can and should do better so when a player underperforms they get battered for it!
On a positive look how well Ahamedhodzic, Ndiaye, Berge, Clark etc played and the praise they rightfully get.

If you want passionate fans that make alot of noise at games then that's what you get, fans who live and die for the club.

If the extreme ups and downs on emotions aren't for you, can always support a team like Norwich with their plastic clapper fans who don't really care about the result and just turn up to chat with their old age pensioner friends once a week.

It might also be a lot duller too if we were all like High School cheerleaders. Unless we had the outfits and pom poms of course.

The gaps, deficiecies, and faults with the team, were very evident yesterday, in a good performance, with two good goals, plenty of excitement first half, etc. Second half Millwall tried but couldn't even get a save from Wes.
Ndiaye and Berge both faded second half, and with it faded our creative ability and any chance of another goal.
Brewster has poor ball control but twisted and turned well with the ball and got fouled for a penalty. Fleck turns back constantly and cannot beat a man, nor does he have confidence to try.Etc.
Good performance, but way too early to predict much at all yet.

Think it’s because of social media. Everything is instant, no Time for reflection.
Twenty years ago many households would probably have been filled with fans getting back home and chuntering in the queue for the Green Un , picking the team apart and calling the manager all the names under the sun.
Its always been this bad, just not so accessible.

Power of social media

Ha yeah I remember my grandad coming back from games grumbling useless United.

Would ask him if they lost.

Nah lad they won but played like shite! 😂

Nice one. Although I just rang the superstore and they're going on sale at the same time as the away shirts.
I know

I ordered four pom poms four tassels and a couple of short pleated skirts , two pairs of knee length socks and two of those big sponge hands that have ‘fk off Norwood’ written on them

As I say - one set of cheer leader kit and accessories have your name on them if you want then

I thought we could rotate the kit throughout the season to other interested forum members but they must show their tickets before collecting

And walk down the correct aisle of course. And not put too much ketchup on their fries.

I wasn’t entirely surprised with the Watford defeat, they are favourites for promotion this season. I’m just glad we’ve got what will be one of our toughest fixtures out of the way early on.

I’m not getting too far ahead of myself about yesterday. Yes the sign’s are good, comfortable win and a very solid performance, but promotions aren’t won or lost in the first fortnight of the season

As I said in another thread, we've lost fairly meekly to a good side and comfortably beaten a poor side. We're pretty much on par so far.

Forums attract all manner of fans and forums are largely anonymous. I am willing to bet that if all of us were in a room together for the duration of the season, there’s be a lot more sense being spoken. Typing online gives people a license to spout more extreme opinions that I doubt they’d project in the real world.

Also, when we lose it brings out more posts from the negative/glass half empty cans and when we win the more positive fans show up.

Don’t think it’s manic to say we’ve got a very good chance of going up this year. Squad is stronger than last year and we’ve got more match winners. Plenty have been consistent with that view despite losing the first game.

Worst post ever!

I wouldn't say Millwall were poor.
A poster on their forum said something like they'll match most teams but struggling against the top sides and will probably finish between 8th and 10th.

I think they were poor on the day, I should clarify. Going forward at least, I don't think they'd have scored if they were still playing now.
