January 1982, the Human League were number one with 'Don't You Want Me', unemployment topped 3 million and Mark Thatcher disappeared in the Sahara Desert. In short it was a long time ago!

Basically, the next time we want to progress in the FA Cup we just need to ring up Phil Oakey and tell him to fuck off.

It would be a bit difficult since he lives in Sheffield.

Maybe he has to move to Chesterfield if we ever want to win the FA cup.

Weird thread, think people are bored, but for your interest, my brother went to the arena last night...... to watch the human league! and, now get this being supported by blamange! unbelievable but true.

Was he living on the ceiling because there was no more room down there?

I wish I'd gone now, they were a great band, I loved Living On The Ceiling.

Joanne is my favourite, she was at the opposite end of the stage to us.
So losing to Altrincham was the last time. Sure that something good happened at the end of that season.
I was at the Altrincham game lost 0-3 in the replay

"Sorry Phil but sound of the crowd will be greatly enhanced by us winning a fucking cup tie, you've got to leave.

Phil...Phil this is not about me opening my heart, it's just business"

And he never said "I love your love action"

Shite 80s band.

Seem to remember a poor taste 80s joke about what was being played in the disco on the Herald of Free Enterprise.

I'll get my coat. ....

Probably the perfect Pop album of my time was Dare. Fucking brilliant. Still gets plenty of play round these parts.

Genius is a word about as devalued as Venezuelas currency these days.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As the album I would take with me to a desert island it is genius. Pop music at its best.
