Is that just a feeling or do you know more than the rest of us?
I know we are being greedy but if we manage that too then this JTW has been amazing

Well, I've always said I know more than the rest of you! :)

Seriously, though: Jim Phipps has been very confident all week, without making any promises, that four deals are done and staged 'welcomes' are planned. We know the priority is a striker. Nigel said yesterday that the last (or maybe penultimate) deal is one that "...we all know who he is..."

So, no I have no ITK on this, but a very strong instinct based on inference from public statements in the interviews I have heard recently. There's no doubt at all that Number 4 is COG and I don't detect any lack of confidence at the club, whatever might be said in the South.

That'll do for me pal, I've been all over twitter and forums recently but I haven't listened to a Clough interview for a while. I knew it was a few days away with what was coming from brightons end but things do see to be building to a 4th signing. Can't wait to see them ALL paraded on the pitch Wednesday

“Devastatingly bad selections”

The first team defence go to Spurs and only concede from the penalty spot

Back up defence go to PNE and concede only once – from a free kick.

Before yesterday we hadn't scored in the previous two games

Before yesterday only two of our players (JCR and McNulty) had scored at all in the previous seven games.

Before that it was full back Bob Harris at Fleetwood..

The answer :? to these situations
is well obvious isn't it.
We need to sign two more full backs :blue:

And what is even more distressing is the hysterical, lunatic reaction to this shambles :?

A bit like the Weir appointment :blue:

Ah well. Thank God for Keith Edwards realistic appraisal of what a stupid waste of money this all is

From the pig end, by now it should be clear that Pinchy knows that little bit more than most posters. If you ever get to meet Pinchers you might notice the slight bulge in his cheek (no, not that sort of bulge or cheek, silly), it's his tongue that's clearly fixed in position. There are a few on here who take what he says far too personally, instead of recognising that beneath the occasional wind-ups there's a decent appraisal of what's happening at SUFC, and this forum is all the better for it.

Game Changing Investment!

Striker will come, but without the quality service, they are isolated players. Coutts and Brayford add great quality to the team.

We now have a defensive back four to match any in the league and quality back-up in each position.

We have tremendous depth and talent in the middle. Enough to challenge in 3 competitions. The fact that we are already wondering and debating if there is room for either Baxter, Flynn, Scougs, Davies (our leading goal scorer before his injury) & Doyle in the 11 says it all.

One extra striker will compliment MM, Higdon ( who played well yesterday) and possibly Diego. Two quality strikers and we really have shown that there is a new, incredibly exciting, era at the Lane.

If we hadn't conceded those 2 goals we would be in the next round of the Fa Cup and on the way to a cup final.
I know that's more then 3 words.
But fuck it.
