Very complementary towards us on Inter TV commentary tonight. Fleck MOTM in their opinion. Clarke, in the local vernacular, 'a unit'. Nice touch at the end, described us as one of England's great old clubs with impressive crowds of 26k average. They were of the opinion that we are a few weeks ahead of them in terms of pre-season conditioning and grateful for an excellent work out. Well done Utd for getting this friendly.

I couldn't understand a word but he did get very excited whenever Inter threatened a goal. The shouty excitement when they scored that tap in was a joy to behold..... or probably not if you had sensitive hearing.

If your name can be translated from English to Italian it always sounds better. Imagine if we had Gianni Macchiolina pulling the strings in our midfield or Guglielmino Acuto up front?

Leone Impiegato as well.

I was impressed that they’d bothered to learn our players’ names and pronounce them properly. It’s a radical idea that could yet catch on with English pundits.
My son was in a box last night. One of the club staff was saying we pronounce Egans name wrong it's pronounced Eggon (like toast).

Forgive me.

But does “unit” translate from Italian as “Shyte first touch” ?
