Can you help BV compile a list of strikers Neil Warnock has signed since arriving at the club on 2nd December 1999?

I have managed to come up with the following... can't be bothered to check the dates they were signed...

  1. Dean Windass
  2. Tommy Mooney
  3. Paul Peschisolido
  4. Wayne Allison
  5. Christian Nade
  6. Danny Webber
  7. Steven Kabba
  8. David Kelly
  9. Carl Asaba
  10. Jack Lester
  11. Laurent Ten Heuvel
  12. Iffy Onoura
  13. Bruce Dyer
  14. Tyrone Thompson?
  15. Patrick Suffo
  16. Laurent D'Jaffo
  17. Neil Shipperley
  18. Ashley Ward
  19. Geoff Horsfield
  20. Hao Haidong

Webber
Shipperly
Littlejohn
Djaffo
Kabba
Peschisolido

Furlong - Loan
Ward

Ten Heuvel - shit
Cadermarteri
Onura
Sturridge - Loan
David Johnson - Loan
Bent

Javeray -Midfield?
Parkinson - Midfield

Tommy Johnston

Who? ;)

Javary was indeed a midfield player as stated in the Bible of Soccerbase.

Was Ashley Sestanovich a signing??

Soccerbase calls him a defender....

lol linz and soccerbase is always right

Ashley Sestanovich was a midfielder and also a complete twat.

Now here's a question... who would your fantasy strike partnership be out of that little line-up?

(I could hazard a guess at what B4E's would be!)

He has played in defence though... in a friendly for the Blades at least. He was either RB or LB.

Out of ALL of the strikers he's ever signed id seriously say the one with the most talent was.

Suffo.

Fucking brilliant player, nutter, but could have been awesome if his head was right.

Got the look at the facts though, warnock really has signed far far far too much crap.

I think it was more a case of what he had to spend. Signing anyone is a gamble, let alone the players he could manage to attract to a less than fashionable club on low wages.

It'd be interesting to have a look at the average age of the strikers at the time we signed them... because there's a lot of older players in there.

Maybe that's an indication as to why we've had that bloody many... older players were bought on the cheap and supposed to be used as back-up. Therefore they had a short shelf life at the Lane.

Have to agree there he has signed alot of strikers and most of them i wouldnt us to re sign.

Fair enough foxy but players such as TOMMY JOHNSON!! what the hell was that all about?

Every manager has their bad signings though.

Look at the Mourinho and Shevchenko scenario... least we've never wasted £30 million :D

Imagine if NW had've signed Michael Twiss... there'd be outrage on the streets of Sheffield ;)

Think that was Abromovich's signing :Dq

I'd suggest he was expecting Johnson to be more of an asset off the field.

That's exactly what he signed him for, he was used in a coaching role, but whether it payed off or not is something we probably won't know.

Watching the Danny Webber podcast and he was originally put off moving to United because we had too many strikers in the 2004 season 😅🤣

Webber
Kabba
D.Johnson
T.Johnson
Cadamarteri
Gray
Ward
Shaw
Beckett
Forte
Sharp

Jesus christ 😂😂😂

If someone can end this thread with a 'definitive' list, that would be great 👍
