The forums reaction to Saturdays game

First time poster, please be gentle.
I've been reading the reaction to Saturdays game and some of the comments reminded me of the comments from opposition fans on "Roy's view from" last season, mainly, their complaints that their team didn't play well and their team didn't play their normal attacking/passing/pressing game our response to those comments were quite rightly that we didn't let them play because we didn't give them time and we played better than them.
In my opinion Rotherham did to us on Saturday what we did to other teams last season and sometimes you have to suck it up and try to find a plan B for such occasions even if plan B is more agricultural
But even under no pressure we still could'not pass the ball, our decision making was pants
This mystery plan B malarkey has been mooted on here for 12 months now and this is what has led to the reaction on here.
Just frustration spilling over but that's forums for you.
We just accept we were dire, forget it and we move on...

The problem with most football fans everywhere is that we look at the latest performane and somhow in our heads project that like a straight line graph over the rest of the season . We have the propensity to throw in a stinker every now and again ( Hull Rotherham for example) , it's not an indication of anything so reading anything into it is folly . Just as it it when we play like world beaters .. thankfully most of the time we are 7 to 7.5 out of 10 team which in this division probably isn't quite enough for promotion but good enough to be around the top 6/8 .. I think we have to accept that injuries aside we will don't have too many stinkers and even if we have a couple on the bounce we're not a bad side .

Ooh, fact based analysis - dangerous spoilsport!

Another groundhog aspect of this that reflects last seasons demise in form, is the optimistic hopes on here that the JTW will solve our problems. How many seasons have people pinned their hopes on it now?

True. I'm sure Leeds, West Brom, Derby etc. won't be scratching their arses in the JTW.

We need to defend better and grind out results.
We should step of to the plate, and Get it sorted. It’s time we grabbed this league by the scruff of the kneck and sent a message out to the division.

Sort it out Wilder!

Stoke - fantastic football for 80 mins
Pigs - Dominated for full 90
Derby - Superb for 45
Wigan - average despite the 3 points
Rotherham -Crap
Forest - Average

I'd hardly say we haven't played well in a lot of games.

Depends how you define it SM. On the 6 games you have above were were above average in 2 1/2 & average or below in 3 1/2. If you consider playing well as performing above average then over the last six games we haven't played well in over half of them - which I would call a lot tbh. We are on a poor run but stranger things happen at sea.

There are 6 or 7 other teams can say exactly the same. In my opinion it's the strongest 2nd tier ever, just that a lot of teams are about the same level, and it will be decided by fine margins. I love it personally, and happy to be where we are, within striking distance.

Or it's the weakest Championship ever.

Or it's the weakest Championship ever.

Or it's roughly the same as the last few seasons and will continue to be the same next season and the one after. The only difference is when a runaway leader exists like when Newcastle venture down here or Wolves spunk moneh.

We are 5th in the league...

Indeed ……. and how annoying is it that if we hadn't been so generous with gifting other teams "schoolyard" goals and down the other end inexplicably missing tap-ins, where would we have been ?!!?

Lack of consistency is crippling us when we are competing with sides who have 4x our budget ….. :(
