Last years top scorer, probably our best attacking threat the last 3 years.
What’s happening with Didsy?
Guessing he’s still injured but nothing really been said about him in press, when’s he due back?

Reckon this system would suit him perfectly, playing in one of the 3 behind the striker. Certainly offers more than Freeman and Brewster for me. Would love to see him line up alongside MGW and Ndiaye behind sharp

Injured I think

He’s got to play his way back in for me. We play with so much more tempo now and it’s great to watch.

As good as he’s been, we’ve not looked this exciting going forward for a long time. He’s not forgotten, we’ve got every last bit out of him these last few years and for that we should be so grateful but for me I’m not sure where he fits in unless he replaces someone and I dont know who you’d drop at the moment.

Still thinks he offers more than Brewster and Freeman going forward. And with Slav saying Ndiaye isn’t going to be able to play every week he’s got to be a better option to have on the bench at least

Stevie Wonder would provide more than him tbf. As for Freeman, he just looks a bit overweight, hopefully he sheds a few pounds and becomes a bit more athletic, remember him for Stevenage back in the day. Back at QPR he was arguably one of the better attack minded midfielders in the championship.

He will fit like a glove in the setup we have since the transfer window. Buy, got to go with Ndiaye for now

I think he will also be watching the u23s with interest, the lad Lankshear is starting to look like he will be pushing next season too, which is nice.

Out of interest, did he say why Ndiaye couldn’t play every week?

As an attacking threat, despite evidence to the contrary in the Peterborough match, you'd say he potentially offers more than Freeman and Osborn.

But in the Championship it is a squad game and a we will need to pick matches when to rest players and rotate to keep the performance levels up.

Bringing in Guedioura and Hourihane has brought in proper competition for Fleck and Norwood.

It means we can genuinely have competition and rotation in 4-2-3-1 all over the pitch. In the 3 it looked like today we were settling on Osborn, MGW and Berge before the warm up. I think the latter does more damage at this level further forward and there are others who enjoy the more gritty stuff further back. You've then got N'Diaye being sensibly managed and Freeman plus Brewster in there as competition to which you'll add McGoldrick. You'll always pick up injuries in a 46 games season plus 2 cups and some players will drop out and even move on in January if out of favour. There's also the concern that MGW does superbly and gets recalled in January so it's not the worst thing to have a 7th body getting used to this formation. Hope he doesn't and to be fair to Wolves, someone has to drop out of their team for him to come in, possibly as a bit part sub, so maybe it makes sense to stay for him.

Billy has claimed the role up front and McBurnie is clearly the one to replace in matches which, though it doesn't do McBurnie's career trajectory that much good at first, we will need to rotate and as far as bringing on to defend a lead, there are fewer better, though I appreciate that isn't the primary role of a striker. That still leaves Mousse. He's probably then got the role best suited for him. We are not really depending on him over a long season but when fit he can offer is something some teams cannot cope with in raw pace and power. It would be great if he could be the main guy and offer this over 46 games but history tells us otherwise. Where this leaves Burke, I don't know. Maybe he can make a case for inclusion on the right of three vs Southampton but his options look decidedly limited.

We may ideally want to offload a couple but competition for places and options are not a bad thing when you play almost twice a week.

Didz will play his part as all the others will, the forwards are now begining to get the service that has been missing in the game before the int' break.
He will score when he plays esp with the service the attackers are getting now.
I believe in him, he is class both as a player and as a person, he will have to take his chances though now when get gets them.
He just gets on with it both on and off the pitch.

We’ve scored a lot of goals recently, I’ll back the managers decision making.

So, because hes 16, he cant push on next season????
Like I said let him develope ,he will break through if he's ever good enough regardless if age .
But promoting talent to soon can destroy them in the man's game

Absolutely bang on with this

Another that doesn’t get into this new way of playing. He’s never played well when playing the ‘Duffy role’ in the previous formation. I don’t see him playing there in this formation either. Possibly the best he could hope for is LW instead of Osborn. NDiaye & Brewster will battle for the CAM position IMO

I dont get what your thinking I'm talking about!?

I'm not for one minute, saying Lankshear should be put into the first team!??
I'm saying, the strikers we have need to be looking behind them, and playing for their shirts, as we have players like Lankshear in the academy, and hes doing really well, and going on his performances this season, so far, that he can push on next year, develop more and make a name for himself, exactly like Ndiaye has, he has the ability to get into the first team, but not for atleast 2/3seasons.

I'm opposite. I think this system means we've seen the end of Didzy 😒
