I work in Nottingham with a load of Forest fans. This is some of the stuff they have been saying

-Pleased with the ticket prices and will sell out their allocation and any extra tickets they will get

-Think it will be a full house at Bramall Lane

-Lucky to win at Preston

-Know they will have to play well as Clough will want to get one over them.

-Happy they have have got us as they see it is as a bit of a local game.

-All seem to be really looking forward to it

-Fancy their chances if they play well

-Keep on saying only 2 games to Wembley and noting that a lot of the big teams are either out, or playing each other.

Personally im not making any rash statements but hope we get a full house and give them a run for their money

To be fair they're basically saying : 'if we play well we will win, if we don't we might lose.'

Can't argue with that in any game! Disagree about it being a full house though. Might get 22/23 thousand, I think.

In all fairness, pigs apart (can't really be arsed playing them anyway whilst were this shite), forest is the best draw we could get. Local side, bit of recent history, should pack the ground but importantly, it's winnable!

It will be a tight, well contested game. Always is against Forest and it's a fixture I always look forward to. Can't say I like them as such, but they always contribute to the game as a spectacle when they play us. Never easy opposition.

If Forest are at their best it will be our toughest cup tie yet because they will play in a totally different way to Villa and Fulham. There will be a lot more intensity and pressing.

United will need to match them in regard to that and get amongst them from minute one. It will be a totally different challenge but we have a chance.

Agreed, Forest games are usually good (apart from the 0-0 the other year when Davies time wasted).

Got a soft spot for this fixture, my first ever away game was the 5-2 away win in 1992, and the Play-Off semi has to be my favorite United game ever. Also, apart from Hillsbrough, the City Ground is the ground I've been to the most for away games.

I reckon we'll beat them, hopefully we get a crowd of over 20K.

Am i the only one that wants us both to get through so we can kick em out next round.

What a game it would be home or away.

Be surprised if we top 20,000 TBH. A lot of people have drifted away.

I reckon nearer 25k. Not on TV, cheapish tickets, a maybe winnable game against a team we dislike, half an hour down the road and they will sell out their allocation.

I reckon circa 25k. Blades v Forest is a game that lots of Blades/Forest fans seem to look forward to, usually a good game and great atmosphere, cheap tickets, not on TV, later stages of the cup. They'll sell out their 4,700 and will probably get more so I'd very surprised if there was only 20k there.

Hi, Forest fan here. our websites crashed all day,. otherwise our allocation would of gone already. allegedly there is 600 left, but none of us can get online to buy them. Is there any other allocation we'll be receiving does anyone know. I reckon we could sell 10,000 for this one.
cheers
MJ

Forest will be a different challenged, but one I think we can be up to on the day.
This cup run as been excellent and I certainly don't want it to end at the hands of Nottingham Forest
Come on Blades just another 4 upsets to we pick up the trophy woooo :)

Working in derbyshire but right between derby and Nottingham I meet a lot of derby and forest fans. All the guys I've spoken to see the fixture as almost a 'bye' and already thinking they are going to win the cup. Most of them are a complete arrogant bunch, so I really hope we stuff them.

Derby fans on the other hand are all really down to earth, and most keep an eye out for us now because of Clough.

Ah, Forest.....weren't they the team who were successful when managed by someone called Clough? Since then I recall they have been a pale shadow of a once good side.....funny how feverish the imaginations of their fans have become. Don't they know we have the majestic talent known as Porter?!?!?

You'd be forgiven for thinking they had recently won the champions league for how highly they think of themselves. I know all clubs have their section of fans who seem to have a false sense of grandeur but they seem to really take the piss.

Yes, at least our great moment(s) are yet to come. Wendy must be related to those Forest fans, given how Massive they are, and how wonderful the world of Wendy is...oh well, roll on Sunday week UTB

luckily for us, the legacy of Clough Snr is still relevant today. Our Kuwaiti owner would never have heard of us, if that chain of events had never happened, and his millions would of gone elsewhere.

we sure have a lot to be thankful for to Mr Clough in that regards.

as for the success in the past, its messed with my mind for ages. growing up watching a team take on europe and then turning into a pile of cr@p since 99 can leave a serious psychological impact on you.

Anyways........I think the most we can allocate is around 6K in the away end, and due to segration issues don't think it could be any more realistically. Anyone disagree ??
