It's only going to be either us or Burnley that get the 2nd auto spot - Sunderland are out of this race. We have to be at least 4 points in front of Burnley going into our fixture against them on the 21st of April - if we are, the pressure will be off of us. If not and we lose that game then it's the play offs for us.

Looking at the remaining fixtures of both clubs, where are we going to get those 4 points from considering that they have an 'easier' run in than us? (IMO)

Squeaky bum time indeed !

It’s over. Play off defeat for us. Another season in the best league in the world for entertainment 🤩

Play with the same intensity we did against Leeds and we can beat anybody (including Burnley).
We can but will they? Depends on team Wilder sends out, his tactics and the players desire to bounce back. One of 2 things gonna happen. First we're at em from the off and thump them four nil, great response. Second we let them play and try to hit em on the break and we eek out a win, maybe.
Please be the first.

As ive stated on another thread somewhere - i`m cool about now and end of season as i want us to beat Weds at Wembley for promotion . Probably one of the only times i might see Utd lift any sort of trophy at Wembley at my time of life - and to do it against Weds would be the cherry on top . So , 1st / 2nd / 3rd ? bring them all on - enjoy the ride all.

Leeds are not going to blow up. They have the best squad in the league, they are properly motoring and seem to have a good team spirit.

1 place to play for with the autos. Top spot would be nice though.

If we play like we did against Leeds for the rest of the season I think we'll comfortably get that 2nd place.

I don't fancy us winning at Burnley though, so it'll be crucial to go there in 2nd place.

The football in the championship apart from the odd game is shit, not sure where the entertainment comes in?!
I don’t agree. It isn’t PL standard, but not much is. It’s entertaining enough, I enjoy it more than watching PL games. It’s nowhere near as shit as English league football generally in the 1980s was though, that really was shit.

I’m talking Preston v Hull or Oxford v Blackburn type fixtures. It’s hard work to watch as a neutral. A lot of our games this season have been attritional and dull unless you have a vested interest in the outcome.

I don’t disagree about our games, we are not enjoyable to watch. But I’ve seen some great championship games this season, plenty of excitement and more interesting than watching a Man City style borefest.
