Probably our best performance defensively today for quite a while. Egan now really stepping up to the task. Like another O’Connell winning everything.
Talking of Jack, what a performance that was today, really back to his old self, and I’m not surprised now he’s finally got a goal on his 100th appearance.
Stevens, well I’m shocked. The past 4 games he’s been a new player with real energy and great delivery.
As much I like Baldock, Freeman really has been missed with his directness. Both wing backs are now really well balanced and it’s going to be tough for Baldock and Johnson to break in to the team.
Finally, Basham. Wasn’t his best game but was still brilliant. It was obvious his performance was going to decline after he was wrongly cautioned.
