It's been briefly mentioned on another thread but I too felt a bit sorry for Cresswell and Evans (who both put a good shift in) when the BT song rang out.
I would like him to get a bit longer on the pitch, I doubt he has totalled 90 minutes yet, but find it a bit embarrassing when the players he would be replacing are having good games.
Is it just frustration by some fans who want BT to get a fair chance to prove himself?

I think it's a combination of things:

- BT's more popular
- A lot of fans don't rate Cresswell and Porter, despite them chipping in with the goals this year (Cresswell in particular has done well of late)
- A general lack of other player-specific songs at the minute

There will be plenty singing that I'm sure aren't doing it as a way of criticising those out on the pitch, but that'll naturally be how it's interpreted. It is a bit annoying though - about time we got some songs for our top performers this year.

So I gather. My mates on the Kop had to sit in the GAC stand and their every muttering was frowned upon! They re-named it the GAG stand.

you weren't the only one mate.. embarassing if not disrespectful at the least.. it is a bunch of piss artists at the back of the kop who always start it

for a 4-0 win, the atmosphere last night was dire!

Strange - I heard plenty of noise in the background to the Radio Sheffield commentary.

I was against Beattie coming back to the club, and I've seen nothing so far to make me change my mind.

He belongs to the past. Let him go, and move on.

I was down at the front of the Kop to the left of the goal, just in front of that godawful pillar. Most of those around me agreed it was more like a morgue, apart from the blasts of BT near the end. Maybe it's my years of drumming taking it's toll on my hearing!!

When Willo scored the fourth did BT look disappointed that Willo took the shot and didn't cut it back to him?

It seemed to take a deflection into the net off N'Gala. I thought he tried to square it.

The game at 3-0 died and was a dead duck. I didn't sing for BT but wanted to see him. Also I wouldn't have minded him coming on for Evans so don't think Cresswell should cry too much

Yes, he looked gutted that the ball fell in the back of the net and not at his feet. I was quite annoyed with him when i saw that.

The bloke in front of me had Blades to win 5-0 at 33-1, so the last few minutes were really amusing with him groaning every time we got near goal and didn't score and his mates taking the proverbial.

Atmosphere was as flat as fuck last night, can't believe people are saying it's cos we hammered them, surely should make for a better atmosphere. Anyway not one to not offer a solution to a problem might I suggest unreserved seating? Then all the 'piss artists' at the back of the kop can stand together as those 'piss artists' are the only ones trying to get an atmosphere going.

ive got an idea as well ,lets all go to the next home game naked

For donkey's years we've been signing about Eddie Colquhoun. Think of all those players who have heard his name sung by the Kop and quaked in their Predators, ashamed that they will never be as good as Eddie.

Then when they see TC wandering about the place and still a better footballer than any of them will ever hope to be it's a wonder they don't all pack it in and join the Foreign Legion or a Trappist monastery.

I hope the pies don't get upset when we sing about greasy chip buttys

get out of here.. i've not heard the eddie colquhoun song in years.. oh sorry i get it now :D

ha ha Perhaps we should have song equality, we either sing about all players and staff or non
