Leave it. Foxy locked and closed the last exchange when you went on a must-have-the-last-word mission. Stick with Bannerman , I'm not interested.

If you can't answer, just say. It's all very well banging on about promises about £xm. It would be hugely more informative to know what the actual figure is rather than for anyone to base it on their feelings for McCabe.

As for spitting your dummy out, we've swapped posts since then, let's not pretend otherwise. You have no idea - same as me - but like your claims that the clubs money was going on legal fees, you choose to run with nothing.

You could have decided not to post on a thread I started but it gave you the chance to repeat your narrative and the pull was obviously too strong.

If the last word is asking a question.......

We've been given a lot of interesting financial information about the club over the past few years, particularly re investment in the first team. Last season we were told by the Prince that the club would break even if we didn't invest in players in January, largely due to the Walker and Maguire sell on clauses.: https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...bdulaziz-al-saud-interview-part-two-1-8826088
In the summer, Wilder tentatively told us that his remaining manger has resulted in a bigger budget. He made it clear that the improved budget wouldn't make us "a big hitter". He has reiterated that throughout this season when facing well financed opposition. This improved budget was confirmed in the Swansea programme by the CEO Stephen Bettis: "We also have an improved transfer budget which culminated in us breaking the club's transfer record figure with the recruitment of John Egan". I believe this was before we acquired Norwood and sold Evans and Leonard.Despite this, Wilder has gone on record to let us know that our business was not contingent on the Brooks sale:

Confirms transfer budget not contingent on Brooks' sale. 7:45.

Confirm "we've hardly touched the David Brooks money" 4:00.

In the Wendy program the CEO went on the record again: "The January transfer window is also on the agenda and discussions have already started around our plans to strengthen the squad for the second half of the season. Both owners are united in their vision and determination to return this football club to the Premier League, where it belongs". This was the thread I started about this: https://www.s24su.com/forum/index.p...e-from-stephen-bettis-ceo.67521/#post-1848573
So,at the same time as having access to the figures that Sean Thornton has quoted, we have this labyrinth of other information. I should add that Wilder is on record confirming interest in Luke Freeman and Martin Waghorn. Whether United could have financed both deals or it was an eithor/or situation is unknown, I think?

But other than the financial information disclosed in Justice Fancourts summation, all we have is words.

HRH says break even if we don't spend in January. We did. Obviously the profit on the Brooks transfer helps the final bottom line if done by June 30th 2018.

CW says "hardly touched" but doesn't say how much of it he has been given over and above his budget. Since then we've taken £7m of that money in and had the £4.5m up front. Hence my initial question.

The JTW budget for 2019 isn't known, simply that there is one.

It's unknown and I doubt the AGM, whilst providing historical figures for last season is obviously unlikely to provide info.

Until January, it's wing and a prayer or for some jam tomorrow again.

Unless of course the owners throw some cash at it like the Judge said they can both afford to do. .

Oy, leave me out of it!

For what it's worth I think that for a man who built a multi million pound business Kevin McCabe has made numerious mistakes in his stewardship of Sheffield United but his intentions were good and the idea that he is milking the club is silly.

Careful what you wish for is wise advice, a number of owners of football clubs have done far more damage than McCabe and with little or no regret because the club means feck all to them.

Take a look across the city, a total egotist with his name on the shirt and the stadium and cares as much about that lot as we do.

If the time comes when we sell out to some foreign billionaire lets hope it's one with the right intentions

Exactly, it's all speculation and conjecture. Id chance my arm and say the failed bids for Freeman and Waghorn indicate there's some money there. How much is anyone's guess.
