Nobody has told me they want to leave. And that’s good news. I’m not pretending there aren’t going to be changes or that means they’ll all be staying here with us because that wouldn’t be right.
“I’m not going to lie to supporters or make them false promises.

“If others come in with offers then some of those lads may well want to look closely at them.

“But it does show that we’ve got a strong and committed group which is a great starting point.

Today...
'Following relegation we are aware that some players will want to move and Darius, who is in his late 20s, feels at this moment in time that it is very important to be playing in the Championship.'

If anyone doubted his ability to fit in he's showing us all!

And before anyone accuses him of lying, he's covered his arse on this one with a little bit of political speak.

(BTW I was under no illusion that players would want to leave, just would've been nice to have a new manager who's up front with us)

No one wants to go but they will go.

No one wanted you as manager Danny so perhaps you will go soon.

What on earth is the issue here? Wilson's essentially said nobody has put in a transfer request so far. He has not said that nobody will be sold (quite the opposite in fact), and obviously if a club makes an offer the situation changes.

Quinn has effectively said he doesn't necessarily want to go, but that he would seriously consider a move to a higher league. I'd expect that to be the view of most of our high earners.

With Loughboro on this one, cant see what the problem is here.

The guy said no one has put in a transfer request and for all we know that is perfectly true.

The club has received an offer, all parties have looked at it and decided to do a deal.

I guess I was just being picky to suit my anti Wilson agenda (I did promise not to do this) but couldn't resist. Wilson had done ever so well up to this point, he was speaking a good game for a few weeks, but to be fair to him he got all dazzled by the fact that he managed to sell a player. McCabe will be pleased with him he gets a special treat when he does what his owner says. :)

Whats that a tummy rub? :)

Or the chance to sign an over paid, injury prone player, you know like for like as "The Blades Way" suggests? :o

Being serious though I suppose we'll just have to wait on seen what happens, July should be a fairly interesting month with stories and rumours cropping up.

Why the hell is it political speak? He said that nobody had told him they wanted to leave. He said that didn't mean they'll all be staying here. What is the problem?

Sorry, just read your follow up. :)

people just want any slight chance to slate wilson, even though weve not kicked a ball yet.

The story on the official site does give you the impression we are letting him go because it's his wish. But we all know we're letting him go because we can't afford to keep paying him what he is on.

Unless we increase the Blades membership fee to £1,000...

Paying £750K per season to anybody in this division would be stupid. Paying it to an injury prone giant who's banned every other game would be insanity.

Good riddance.
