I had a go at this and tried to be as objective as possible [always difficult I know] with us winning most home games and having mixed away form.

Had us lose to Forest, Villa and West Brom with draws against Boro, Leeds, Brum and Stoke.

We finished 2nd, behind Leeds and ahead of Norwich on goal difference

Brum, Hull and QPR make up the rest of the top 6, which sounds like bobbar to me.
