The Beard's Disallowed Goal - Very Poor Quality

That ref looked like he was waiting for the ball to come from the corner go near a player so he could quickly blow his whistle.
Perhaps after the pen and sending off he had to make it up to Fleetwood. If he did he is weak.

Looks to me like the keeper fell over backwards and dropped the ball.
Pretty obvious the Ref bottled it cuz of Fleetwoods whining and play acting at the penalty decision. The intimidation paid off.

Good footage William Henry Foulkes - you can replay at .25 of normal speed and it looks a little like the goalie leapt slightly backwards and/or maybe there was some contact with the Fleetwood player in front of him. I must admit I thought it was a goal from my seat.

But it wasn't said the ref.

Good to see some desire to win though.

Yes weak as piss robbed of two points on satQUOTE]

looked like Hammond ? giving the goalkeeper a little tug - good try though - in a crowed box a lot of the time the refs view is obscured.

There was probably no need to do it, Maxwell had misjudges the flight, and was never going to catch it, cos he`s not that good with crosses.

That, and all the blood in his eyes from the invisible coin thrown

It all happened very quickly but you might be right.

He was crap all game, pulling up nothing challenges, letting clear fouls go, throw-ins wrong way etc etc. Add to that the comment he allegedly made about the Maxwell incident and he may not be reffing again.

Speaking to a few Cod mates since and they couldn't see anything wrong with the 'goal' from various positions around the ground.

Adkins was right, we should've won! Great interview, Nigel ;)

The bloke next to me said the same......oh yes, that was you :-) It definitely looked like he just dropped it. Although the ref made some mistakes, I thought he let some of the theatrical stuff go and played on, then blew up for nothing challenges.

BP was poor quality. And went all blurry as the ball went into the sun. From there I captured it on my very old phone and then uploaded it. But for anyone who wants to see it the link is here

Surprised it's not on our YouTube. Screenshot of the critical moment. ;)

Foul ref. Clear as day.

The excessive zooming very often ruins the chance of looking at key situations like this one. The interesting thing is what happens in the box, not Done's kick.

The problem is you tend to follow the ball and all I saw was a keeper misjudging the flight and dropping / palming the ball into Brayford's path.

From the video, it looks like the ref was just transfixed towards the keeper and seemed to blow as soon as he didn't catch the ball cleanly. Having paused it a few times at the time he blows for a foul, I can't see anyone impeding the keeper in a green shirt, if anything, there's a couple of defenders in his way but the ref obviously thought he saw something, or enough to justify blowing for a foul.

The more I see it, the more I think he just wanted to play safe with a drawn game given what had happened in the previous few minutes.

Telling lack of anger/reaction to the "foul" from the goalie.

Other than that, just hope the ref got a better view than I did. Sack the cameraman!
