I apologise. Absolutely nothing personal against you. I just don't understand people who seem to do things so they can publicise it to the whole world. To me (possibly wrongly cos I just don't get social media) it's as if people are saying........."Woooooh look at me. I have this great and interesting life. Look what I've done, look where I've been and what I'm doing next".
To me it's bollocks. I'm a big believer in......... do what you (as in one) do, do it for yourself, share with family/close friends who have a connection/shared interest in your life. I mean, I wouldn't walk around a boozer placing my hol snaps or pictures of my grandkids on every table for people to see (why the fuck would they be interested anyway?) so why would I put it out on public social media?
As for the great man Shred. Tbh we were not big friends, as such. Like hundreds (thousands) of others, I travelled on his buses, on and off, over many many years. I was never a week in week out regular though - maybe did 7 or 8 'Shred Tours' a season on average. Back in the day sometimes we did train (footy special), sometimes found a mug (friend) to drive, and sometimes did a weekend. Shred to me was like he was to many, a fantastic bloke who always had time for a nod a few words and a pint here and there. But I wasn't part of his inner circle.
And, yes, I was pissed off on Sunday night - been a tremendous season this one hasn't it
