Too much meltdown v clapping for my liking on here tonight.

Here’s the breakdown:-

1. Coutts was hugely important. He determined the tempo at which we played, made important interceptions and looked after the ball when the final pass wasn’t on. He recycled everything and kept attacking momentum going.

Without him, our % of successful assists is clearly less as the final pass is being delivered into less threatening positions now. We are also far easier to penetrate now as we are pulled out of shape more due to his absence.

2. Wilder needs to sacrifice some of his pride for a point when the three points aren’t on. Basham’s substitution to chase the game was a bad decision and it cost us. It’s not the first time that has happened although admittedly he has earned the right to be forgiven for it up to this point. That will start to wear thin if this run continues.....not with me but with the supporters in general. Football fans are fickle.

3. We were a directionless club in the third tier two years ago. Smile.

We will keep at it and it will come good, there is a lot of the season left to play and still we are in a great position. It is tough at the moment, but this will be a real test of the whole club.

Why be balanced?

The almost reckless attacking intent is a joy to behold.

(I say "almost reckless" because it isn't reckless - we still keep our shape & discipline.)

Long may it continue. Being honest, that was a fantastic performance tonight.

Lundstram gave ball away cheaply couple of times but did play some great balls through and threaded Clarke though for their goal. I really don't think we are missing Coutts that much. On another day we would have score 3/4. I think we've missed Baldock/Freeman mainly because Basham is an outlet from defence as well as our best CH. Don't get me started on Brooks though he looked disinterested the minute he came on. If he isn't going to do the basics like closing down and putting your body on line when your teams down to 10 men then lets take what we can get for him in January as thats not the United or Tufty way.

Think the reason brooks looks disinterested is that the odd 10 to 15 mins is not enough

Top of the league when he broke his leg, 1 point from 12 and top spot a rapidly receding memory without him, I'd say his absence has been felt.

To be fair I agree he should show more effort , but it’s not easy always coming on for the last few minutes and every time he gets the ball the crowd have huge expectations of him

1) Tonight was Lundstram's best game, we didn't really miss Coutts at all tonight despite the loss.
2) We didn't actually chase the game after Basham went off, just sat back with the wrong players on the pitch.
3) We're somehow still 7 points clear of Leeds too. Despite the bad run, we're having an excellent season.

For 18 months we’ve ridden a wave & everything that could go right has gone right. Had no injuries or suspensions to Coutts & Fleck now both out at same time which was always gonna happen.

It’s fine margins in this league & any mistake you’ll get punished as we’re cruelly finding out but don’t start playing the blame game, be a realist & stick with them. It’ll turn back around if we keep playing like we did last night.

Don’t worry about a thing ‘cause every little thing is gonna be alright.

Be frustrated, be disappointed, it’s just not happening at the minute but we’re in good hands, keep the faith UTB ⚔️

If he had played better against Millwall he might have kept his place. If he’s disinterested after the game times he’s got maybe we should cash in

I remember the first game of the season and a nervous last 15 minutes. I said every game is going to be like this, we need to enjoy it after the shit we have put up with.

I am I annoyed we didn’t shut up shop in the last 10. A little but we didn’t play for a draw at the pigs or leeds. Take the rough with the smooth.

Last night showed to me, we lacked balance more than we miss coutts. There I said it!

This ^^

Attacking subs are fine if you at least play to their strengths
