Me and hundreds of others were fuming over an incident versus Cardiff, where in my opinion a city player definately passed back to the keeper by kicking the ball back to safety. Granted, he used his knee, but all said and done he kicked it ( or knee'd it ) back to the keeper and nothing was done FFS

Before getting all mental about whether it was or wasn't a back-pass, I always try to remember why the rule was introduced. If it's a contentious decision I look at it this way: if the defending team gains no advantage (ie wasting time) then get over it. Play on.

Is it not meant to be off his foot for it to be a back pass?

It came off his thigh and the ref indicated as such.

It did make me laugh at the few people going mental around me only to be told it wasn't a back pass.

The refs big mistake was missing the winning goal scorer kicking Doyle in the calf.Plainly spotted by the tv cameras and the FA.
With the player being charged by the FA even though Cardiff's mangers saying his player would never do that.
If the ref had acted properly instead of making the two players shake hands Cardiff would have been down to 10 men with 40 minutes to go and the goal scorer off the pitch.

no i was right after all but cba to repost... basically toronto youre on about a different match was the gist.
