As one his big critics it's only fair I say what a very good game he played today, and how well he's doing lately. I've given him some shit, but I wouldn't want to see a pairig of ours without him in it right now.

I wonder if Beattie has been helping in with free kick taking as well, he normally just canons them at the goal, but today he bent them both well today. Two good saves from the keeper there.

Also the keeper made another good save from a low shot Ched made in early moments of second half. Then he thundered the post, at times though I just didn't think the ball would drop for him right in the box. His first was good though and as Oreyt said I got the feeling it was going to go in, as soon as he made his first touch and started his run off. His second was a very nice calm finish also, he's missed one on ones in the past but he looked very cool and composed. It's amazing what confidence does to a player.

He was excellent today, I was really hoping he would get his hat trick. Like the message on the shirt aswell and credit to the referee for not booking him.

Credit should also go to the Torquay manager who rushed from his dugout to tell the ref not to as well.

Thought Ched was our best player today, loved the shirt. As above credit to the ref and manager, glad to see good judgement was observed. Personally it really choked me seeing Cheds shirt on the big screen, same when we all stood up near the end of the game, proud of you all!

The pigs sing about the 'goil' machine.

Ched is twice the player!!

I agree, it was a very moving moment when they showed that.

Personally I thought the crowd was rubbish with the tributes to Speed. No-one joined in any of the songs for him and when we did all finally start singing, it was quite frankly a crap 10 second effort. Really poor, especially when you look at the 11 minute effort from Leeds the other night, simply brilliant that was.

A crowd of just over ten thousand had a great deal to do with the atmosphere being flat. I couldn't hear much above the whinging little shit behind me anyway.

Note to parents - people have paid to watch the football, not to listen to your offspring whine for the thick end of two hours.
