Haven't bought a physical copy in years but now I've stopped following them on Twitter and Facebook too due to intolerable levels of porcine shit-stirring and fucking godawful journalism in recent times.

If I can contribute in some small way to them going out of business altogether then I'll be very satisfied.

Not myself but not because of a bias - I'm not getting into whether I think there is one or not. The Star, like all local papers is usually yesterdays news and their headlines are on their website anyway so I don't really see a need to buy the paper from a Blades perspective.

When I was a kid was totally different though and I really looked forward to seeing their latest headline, because it was virtually the only sauce of football news, unless you were rich and rang club call! I occasionally did that when desperate to find out who our next signing was and my mum killed me when she got the phone bill! I told her it was worth it, but she didn't seem to agree! The star headline would always say something like

"BLADES SIGN PREMIER LEAGUE STAR"!

When you read the article you'd realise Harry had gone back to Watford or Wimbledon to sign another player who wasn't wanted by said club anymore! Saying that we got some absolute gems/heroic cult heroes like Cork, Agana, Tracey, Gannon etc.

Back to the Star and unlike most Blades I would be sad to see the paper fold - no pun intended! Its a bit of a Sheffield institution and although there is a history according to many Blades of a bias to the Pigs, I've never really felt that was the case. I do know about the "save the Owls" campaign. Tony Pritchett certainly was a top notch reporter of United in my view.
