That Brooks assist

Quality left foot, looks great going forward, 10 million minimum

The touch was amazing and the pass was equally as good. Have to say the Brooks pas was more aesthetically pleasing imo and the fact it was the outside of the boot with the weaker foot edges it for me :)

Who killed the squid

Just think how many points we'd have got if Clayton played for us last season. I reckon we'd have got more than a hundred...

look. both goals were lucky. we were handed it on a plate. Sunderland aren't the rest of the Championship.. we're just using hard work and momentum! :D

Hope he becomes half as good as him, but Brooks has a similar style.

Brooks pass was indeed sublime as was the header from Coutts to Brooks, Coutts could've easily just flicked it forward but he knew exactly what he was doing.

The finish was exquisite by the way.

Are you watching the same clip as me? Brooks plays that through ball with the outside of his left foot??

On my telly it's the inside

My apologies mate, from my original viewing, it looked like an inside left footed pass, now I have put on my super specsaver specs (£400 robbing bastards) you are quite right. Main thing is, a quality pass from a quality player, long may he reign at the Lane.
UTB

Brooks is a bit unlucky really with how well Duffy is playing.
I suppose his (starting) chance could come due to all the strikers being injured though.

The touch from Billy and the ball from Billy for the first goal was better
Yes but we don't tend to praise Billy for anything but his goal-scoring ability. ;)

I think they were both great passes, but the key thing for me was Donaldson having the pace and positional sense to take advantage of them. With the likes of Coutts, Duffy, Fleck, Stevens and Brooks in the team I think any striker with a bit of genuine pace and can play on the last defender's shoulder would have a proverbial birthday.

I wouldn't say better but we all have our own opinions. However, I also rate Billy's involvement in the first goal, excellent touch on his left, knew exactly what he wanted to do with it so I do see where you are coming from.
I agree with you. But only Donaldson of our frontline would've turned that chance into a goal.

Second one I think Clarke, Sharp and Donaldson would all finish 1 v 1 because the ball through was that good.

No need to apologise you did have me watching it another 10+ times trying to see if I was wrong. Time well spent imo

Agree, first goal Donaldson showed real purpose, getting at em and getting the shot off. He's just what we needed and adds and extra dimension to our overall play. Wilder does it again, rabbits, hats n'all that.

Just to say this is the lad who took the vid in the op (I know you weren't to know mancunianblade but the Jesus is a Blade twitter account was a bit naughty)

I know it's really minor but it just winds me up when social media uses don't credit the source of video - happens with Foxy's videos loads.

I'll be honest it's a good time to be a blade. We are coming off the back of beating Sunderland 2-1 away and we are debating whose was the better assist. I'll take this all day long until the end of the season

If we were looking for a third classy moment, Fleck's turn and cross for Donaldson just after the first goal, that led to the keeper tipping over the bar, was pretty decent skill.

It is very annoying... people have even actively tried to pass a lot of ours off as their work - even so far as adding their own watermark!

This season, the agency in charge of the EFL's image rights have been very actively interested in ours - cease and desist orders coming out of my ears :(

The touch was top class - made the defenders think he'd left it too late then played the ball perfectly.

Makes it sound like you are an armed terrorist! Is there a length of time after the game when you can publish them?

*armed with thousands of clips of wasted freekicks and stupid short corners that don't work (at least 1 from Saturday!). Your Kieran Wallace thread remains my fave video of all time. :)

The touch from Billy and the ball from Billy for the first goal was better
Was about to type something similar. Billy's quick thinking to win the ball from the clearance, good first touch and lovely ball was great to see

The well placed header from Coutts to brooks
Brooks pass was indeed sublime as was the header from Coutts to Brooks, Coutts could've easily just flicked it forward but he knew exactly what he was doing.

The finish was exquisite by the way.

This shouldn't be understated.

Brooks' pass was Haganesque and there can be no higher praise.

The kid is so positive. And really believes in himself (rightly so).

Reckon Wilder's managing him superbly though. Seems a really nice, level-headed kid, and he's having his feet kept firmly on the ground & being taught to be a team-player - all for his own good.
