Because this guy has been the heart and sole of this unforgettable season! Hopefully if we get promoted, I can see him becoming the captain for next season(not to say Billy doesn't deserve it anymore but I think Fleck is more capable in the championship).

A proper hardcore midfielder that marshalls our playing style which makes him a true leader on the pitch. And the best thing is he cost a resounding £0.

I don't normally say it but it's a praise to Bosman Ruling for this and we may not be in the position we're in if it wasn't for John Fleck on the field.

Watching him pick the ball up in a deep position, carry it 20-30 yards past a couple of players, and then find someone in space is one of the joys of life.

Fantastic player. Captain-wise, he's a little down the pecking order. Coutts, O'Connell and Basham have all deputised this season, not sure Fleck has.

And thanks to him for only being 5"6 because if he was 3 or 4 inches taller he'd already be in the PL!

He'll probably get there anyway. Not many midfielders have the all round game he has.

I think he's proven himself to be the best player in the division this season.

We've been great for him and he's been great for us.

I dont get it as the Coventry fans said he was rubbish and they had better and would get better players in - wonder how that worked out ?

Wonder if the government will repeal the Bosman rule? Definitely EU imposed as I remember.

Perhaps Scudamore will consult West Ham and then maybe lobby the Prime Minister or Boris.

We would have had to pay a decent signing on fee, I'd guess around 100k at most so not quite free, but get your point ;)

The rule has gone against us of course, forcing us to sell Kilgallon for one, so happy for us to be smart and take advantage of the system!

Did anyone else notice when he messed up that oppty with his right foot he pulled up his shorts and pointed to his right leg and took the piss out of it.

"It's just for fecking standing on, ya bastards" was the lip reading I got from it. Was in Jockanese, though :o

Said it before, and I'll bore on again, best player at the club by a country mile.

When he was at Rangers (spit) as as 16 yr old they dubbed him the Scottish Wayne Rooney.

Just hope Kev can repel the bids that will probably come in this summer.
