Compared to some other sides we've been blessed with luck by not having players out long term.

I say luck but i do believe this is down to the work the physios/analysts/masseurs/chefs and fitness staff do on a day to day basis.

Fantastic at the minute from top to bottom.

Yeah you’ve fucked it now praising the dieticians. Egan has torn up his meal plan for the week, starting with a kebab tonight.
He’ll be the size of Steve McNulty by Xmas.

Thanks a fucking lot.

Who's Steve McNulty?

The fuck do I know?

think matt Prestige has done an excellent job and has been a big part of our fitness levels ( amongst many others i'm sure ) his background is quite sports science /performance analyst but now is very much part of the main management team with CWAK - all in all a belting whole team as CW mentions allot
am i right in thinking he joined us in a more fitness / sports science role orginally ?

When things are going well, everyone at the club gets praise. When things are not going so well, everyone at the club gets criticism. I seem to recall the groundsman and the ball boys and the catering staff and the scouts getting in the neck when things were bad. It's great that things are going well and the physios and dieticians deserve a bit of sunshine too. I honestly don't know what they do - but our squad seems less fat and injury prone than it did a few years ago - so I'll take that as some sort of evidence that they deserve to be singled out for praise.

But if we lose to Burnley on saturday I'm going to be right back on here slagging them off!

I think it's also the management's skill in treating every player individually and playing/not playing/subbing at the appropriate time and even playing him in a different way to what he was used to previously. You take the prime example McGoldrick. He has a CV which tells you more about physiotherapy than football but plays for us in a subtly different way to what he was used to without much of a hitch and scores a sackful of goals to help us up. Then he goes and plays for Ireland away from United's safety umbrella, reverts to type by promptly getting crocked and is out for a few weeks.

So it doesn't seem to be just about the training and fitness regime, its also about it being tailored to a particular footballer's circumstances and this seems to be the clever bit.

But what an amazing job the dieticians / physios have done in the last couple of seasons.

Opened a can of worms now haven't I?
Cunts have screwed me over, I got in the scales this morning, and, now I need new scales!

The dietitians opened a can of my proven weight loss program, of Tapeworms.

I also think it's a lot to do with being a winning team since wilder took over when there's a good atmosphere around the team players want to be back and playing when the team is doing poor and the crowds on their backs I'm sure they don't try to get back quick .

It does always seem that when a team is struggling they appear to have more injuries. Obviously it could be they’re struggling because of the injuries but often the poor results start before the injuries. You do get the impression that sometimes they’re not rushing to get back. Pigs seemed like that last season.

Incredible job when you take in to account the alcohol intake by the players at seasons end!!
