Read it this morning, good read, but also hints that we looked for a Bash replacement.

It'll get worse, the journo's have done Guardiola and Klopp football to bits.
I can remember when we they were all doing articles about 'Total Football'.

Yes, but this is actually quite a balanced article TBF

What it doesn't explain is how our wingbacks often turn up in the opposition box on the other side of the pitch

Hopefully we'll be reading about that in 2years when everyone has caught up

That's not how I read it at all.

"We’re lucky we have Chris Basham, who’s a midfielder, a centre-half, and a wing-back - he can play anywhere.
Jack O’Connell was different because he's a left-sided centre-back and it took time to encourage him to do it, but we thought that would improve his game and make him more attractive to bigger clubs.

We're lucky we have Chris Basham, couldn't be any clearer.

No shit, now read all of it.

"The problem is, is finding another Chris Basham, is difficult".

This says they wanted a player like bash for the left, but couldn't find one so adapted JoC.

Exactly, we wanted a second Basham not a Basham replacement.

Bash is getting on now, JAGS is 37! Who's going to be playing there a) If Bash gets injured, b) next season, if we stay up?

Maybe that's why Kean Bryan is still around? Lundstram could probably do it too.

But no set replacement yet.....maybe Jan?

It wouldn't surprise me at the least to see Kean Bryan replacing Basham if he's either suspended or injured. UTB
No chance. Bryan is left footed. If Basham gets injured Jags will come in and still go forward just not as often (this happened vs Betis). It’s not ideal and I think it’s a hole in our squad.

The rest of the world is finally starting to catch up and take notice.
