His win ratio must be great, lets hope his knees hold up as it's quite clear he's needed in our side. I love a young un that wants to play for Sheffield United, his all round game is improving and needs to be picked when fit.

On a side note, does anyone think he could play in Doyles' role next season? The through ball for Murphy the other week was quality, he reads the game very well, can tackle and can get about the pitch, it would be very interesting to see him there.

Isn't it great having that winning feeling on a Saturday, or any day for that matter, get in there Blades:D

Maybe Doyle could play Doyle's role next season, seems to be doing it quite well this season :)
Evening my old mucker:)

Do you think Doyle will be here if we get in the Championship next season? Players will run rings round him mate.

Anyway lets not turn this into a Doyle thread, i'm more interested in what people think of Kennedys' attributes and whether or not he could play in an ageing Doyles' role next season, when hopefully we're in the Championship and a more mobile player is required.

I think after a game like today our "let's replace Doyle club" might only have two members in it haha
All for giving Tel a good run in the side though. I really like the look of him

Wiz, I kinda knew you'd say that :) people write him off, he keeps shoving it back up their piss pipes :)
Terry K, much out of the same mould as Doyle, no nonsense, honest, gives his all and gives you the impression he'd play for fuck all.
Love players like that, throwbacks, unlike some of the cocks that masquerade as pro footballers today.
Always pleased when Kennedy & Doyle start for us, some bollocks in the team, and good teams need that.

I'm not slating Doyle, i just want to find out what people think of Kennedy playing that role as he looks a perfect fit to me.

I'll put up with Doyle in the side this season as long as we have 5 other attack minded players on the pitch who are creating chances or scoring goals, this is what we've lacked all season. We have to have midfielders who contribute to one of the two, arguably, with the assist from Kennedy to Murphy, he has contributed more than what Doyle has. Surely Doyle has to contribute something other than filling in for defenders pushing forward. If we had a player who could push forward from his position perhaps our defenders wouldn't have to push forward as much, now there's a thought:)

aggghh, I give up :-)

It will be interesting to see if Terry plays at Notts Co. If he doesn't it will show they do have serious concerns about that knee, I don't think Tel trains much, he attends the team talks spends time in the pool as they are doing all they can to protect his knee.

A real shame if the knee cuts short his career as he looks the real deal at Centre Back

I agree with you Wizardry, I have nothing against Doyle though. And I hold my hands up and have given the guy his fair share of criticism but moving forward 'if' we do play championship football next year, I would be very disappointed if he was our starting holding midfielder. I would although give the guy a new one year contract as cover but no more. That said, he's playing well this year and without him we look even more lightweight.

I like Kennedy a lot and do believe he'll make a fine CB long term but with his injury concerns I think centre half will prolong his career over playing in midfield.

I agree with everything there mate and it's a great point regarding the injury, by him prolonging his career playing at CB. I like to see what people think, especially of our youngsters who haven't seen much game time.

I don't think his knee will cut his career short but he's gotta have a manager who will understand his situation which Clough seems to do.

Clough has already said Tel isn't up to a Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday schedule.

Out of interest, can anyone tell me what injuries Tel has had? I presume ligaments, and judging by how bad it must have been it might have been his ACL?
