Agree, Bristol like to pass the ball to death. O'Hare's energiser bunny type play will help closing them down.

Also, I don't think it's a game for JRS and his defending. Think it'll be BBD or Brewster on the right
I always want us to play 2 up front, but I guess in this game we need to keep it tight being the first leg

Unless we are Sheffield fc we aren’t playing Bristol.

I hope Holding plays but can see it being Robinson.
I like Holding. I think he'll be great against teams that try and press us. The only doubt I have is that we have no idea, after 2 years of being frozen out at Palace, of just how good defensively he'll be when it's backs to the walls time

-------------------Cooper
Choudhury--Anel------Holding------Burrows
---------------Souza-------------Peck
---JRS---------------O'Hare-------------Hamer
----------------------Campbell

Subs: A Davies, McCallum, Gilchrist, Robbo, T Davies, BBD, Brooks, Moore, Cannon

Hell remove someone we need on the bench to make a place for Brewster though.

This is the one for me with JRS being the only contestable position IMO. But we will see !

Agree on O'hare who i think should start at Bristol not sure on BBD.
Brewster seems to be growing in his new role he tried to make things happen up top yesterday but also helped out defensively.
I think if fit BBD will play. It'll be a game for players who work hard and can keep their shape and discipline and then when the opportunity comes hit them hard on the break

Cooper
Choudhury Holding Anel Burrows
Souza Peck
BBD O Hare Hamer
Moore

Try and keep it tight and counter using Moore up top . One caused problems for them at their ground . O Hares energy and ability to break lines and link with Hamer is crucial. Then we have very good attacking subs to bring on if we need to.
As ever UTB !

The winning formulae all season - O HARE plays. MOTM yesterday - we simply play much much better with him in the team. His incessant harrying/ press is one of main reasons we are where we are. For the life of me I cannot see why Chris has dropped him in games it's plain daft.

First picks should be Gus and O Hare every time.

Maybe, but he did play well against Bristol City that night at the lane.

The team and formation I would like to see albeit without Seriki who would have been my first pick at RB

4-3-1-2

Cooper
Choudhury Holding Anel Burrows
Peck Souza Hamer
OHare
Campbell Brewster/Cannon

The team and formation I expect CW to pick for the away leg

4-4-2

Cooper
Gilchrist Holding Robinson Burrows
Brewster Souza Peck Hamer
Campbell Moore

--------------------Cooper
Choudhury-Holding-Anel-Burrows
-----------------Peck-Souza
-----O'Hare----------------------Hamer
-----------Moore-----Campbell

Bristol City played with a back 5 at the lane, going 2 up top against them would make more sense.

Given that neither Moore or Campbell played yesterday, convinces me that he rested both for Thursday and will play them in a front 2.

Hence why Cannon played up top as a sole ST, personally thought that was one of his better games.

Yes he should do better with that chance, same with Hamer in the first half, but his overall performance was decent, especially with his positioning and movement.

Get Moore to keep their CB's busy and create space for Campbell.

I'm not in the "keep it tight" camp . We're crap at being cautious, tends to bite us in the arse.. let's go out and try and blow them away in the 1st leg..
Hasn't keeping it tight won us 92 points?

We need to play to win and put the tie to bed in the first leg. The way we lose is to try and hold onto a 1:0 lead and then being that back to the Lane

——————-Cooper
Hamza—Holding—Anel—Burrows
———-peck———Souza
JRS ————————— Hamer
——-Campbell—— BBD

BBD was good for us in a front 2 last year in the prem. No reason he can’t be in the champ. Plus much more athletic than Moore.

Thought COH has been decent last few games. But going away, think JRS just shades it for the counter.
