So, every one back in contention apart from Adams, even James Wallace who played 90 minuted for the U21's. After the last 3 performances, I wouldn't make many changes, and would stick with what's been working. The 2 changes i'd make are Flynn, fresh from his brace against Birmingham in for Woolford and Baxter, ;), in for Calamity Collins to add some creativity and fluidity to our midfield with Basham dropping to the back. I'd also adopt the same tactics of, whisper it quietly, being dirty fuckers and breaking up their play. Whatever happens, after the last few games I think that this game could make or break our season. If we deliver a shock win, the bladeacoaster is back, if we don't well it's all down to January.

Maybe Wallace instead of Baxter in your line up, as I am still not convinced we will see Baxter in a Blades shirt again. I would have Woolford on the bench, only because he gives us height and presence, nothing else.

3 clean sheets and you're changing the back 4?

Brave or foolhardy?
Well if it wasn't for Long then it wouldn't have been 3 clean sheets. Collins had made enough mistake to loose us all of these games, the pass to their striker and the running into the player and getting megged both against Coventry for example.

The tactics have been a lot more than just dirty. It's been safety first, a clean sheet a priority, and seeing if we can nick something, most likely from a set play.

Putting Baxter and Flynn in there will loosen things up, and there goes the clean sheet.

Baxter might still be on the naughty step too.

I think it'll be the same starting 11 with options to chase the game or tighten it up.

And Calamity Collins has been part of a defence that has conceded 1 goal on 4 games.

And he set up the winner with a good pass to Done against Coventry.

And he wins headers much more easily than either Bash or Edgar.

One change might be Bob in for McEveley. With Hammond captain?

Bash limped off last week. Might not be available.

Wallace for McEveley and you've got yourself a deal.

You don't change a winning team. Baxter? Who's that then?

Depends on the way we won. We were incredibly lucky to win v Coventry and the Scunny game could easily have finished as a draw.

If we can still identify weaknesses and have better players coming back from injury or suspension I'd say shake it up a little by all means - especially if we can shore up the defence.

I'd worry if we played the same 11 that faced Scunny against Wigan, who are a better team.

Same 11 as Scunny. The more they play together, the better the chance of further clean sheets and therefore positive results.

If Basham and McEvely pregnant are injured, run with the substitutions Nigey did - Reed and K Wallace

Adkins will keep the same team barring injuries

Jay Mac injured then K Wallace
No Harris on the bench. Che on the bench instead for me. Freeman on bench covering both full back positions
No Baxter, he's done.............supposedly?

Whatever fans think of individual players it would not be fair on the players or make sense to change a winning side even if we hadn't kept 3 consecutive clean sheets.

Wait until the team doesn't get the results before changing it around.

Che doesn't deserve his place back in the side based purely on his very poor performances and god knows what Baxter has done but likewise for him if it's bad.

Got a feeling it could be another 1-0 win for the red and white wizards.

UTB!

Long

Brayford Edgar Collins McEveley

Coutts Hammond Basham

JCR Sharp Done

Adkins will keep the same team barring injuries

Che is still banned.

Collins is ok when he is up against a bit of a lump up front and a direct team, like scunny were last week, they played to his strengths, I am no expert regarding Wigan but I reckon they will be more of a footballing team, this is when we worry about Collins. If I was to give an opposing manager any help it would be push up on Collins at every opportunity and put him under pressure and play the ball on the floor, they will then have to let the keeper kick the ball clear.

Unless we are forced to make changes the same side that started at Scunthorpe will start at Wigan.....
