Now Baxter seems to have got his grips as a striker I wouldn't mind giving Miller a run up there with him, if those two could develop an understanding and hit form (which both are capable of) then we wouldn't go far wrong.

I'll go 4-4-2 Diamond with the Full Backs mainly providing the width and finding room for Baxter and Miller.

Can't see it happening though. I'd also like Murphy to have a run of games up front, maybe instead of Miller up top in the first option with Lappin/White at wing back.

Can't see NC trying that whilst we have a midfield with virtually no aerial presence. If we also play two relatively small strikers together we would be extremely vulnerable defending corners and free kicks. Besides there's no guarantee they would be able to gel together. Think for the short (no pun intended) term we'll stay with Porter and one other up top. It's up to Baxter and Miller to compete for the one shirt.

safety ( points ) first approach it'll be porter with a.n. other up top , were not going to like most of the football between now and the end of the season , but when it keeps us up and mr Clough takes control of his team , then we' ll be able to see the benefits next season .
