Yep it's been a great weekend with West Brom effectively out of it now too and agree re Watford.

Blackburn were never seriously a threat, but they are still lurking.

If Boro win tomorrow, they still have a slither, and I mean a slither of a chance, but I still think it is highly unlikely. Norwich (imo) have far too much to make up. When the deficit is already this large, even just an additional 3 points makes a huge difference.

At the end of the day if we throw away this position now, we truly deserve to fail

But I don't think the players are even thinking about that, and looking below. They're looking more at Burnley and will be disappointed with their result last night. But in this case they need to improve performances, otherwise the title is out of reach

Norwich are the biggest threat now, as we have to go there too. Wagner is a good fit as manager and their natural habitat is top of the championship over recent years. Think they'll get within single digits of us

To add a slight angle:

To get on the same points as us Watford, Blackburn, Norwich and Boro, even if they won them all, would all need to have played 33 matches while we sit there with 5 in hand on 28.

At 2 points per game, Watford and Blackburn would have played 35 matches, whereas Norwich 36 matches, meaning we’d have a further 7 or 8 in hand to run to accumulate points.

At their current rate, Watford would need 37 matches to catch us and the rest 38. So they’d have 8 games left and we’d have 18 left to accumulate points to the finish line.

After next weekend, one of, or both of Watford and Boro will be dropping their points per game next week. A draw or a Boro win will give 3rd place 45 from 29. Over a season that’s only 71 points.

Not getting carried away but this has been a very good weekend and next weekend will end up denting some challengers as well.
