Totally agree. Was Ingelsson - pig number 8. He was at it all match and then went down like a sack of spuds rolling around after the Phillips foul. Inglesson clearly didn’t like Sydie celebrating our win in front of our fans. What an first class pr***

There is no greater compliment I can give the lad then that he reminds me of Paul Coutts.

With some extra fire in that Belly !

If we don’t get £20m plus in the summer, some team has our pants down.

UTB
£20m? You having a laugh? There's a cabal of pitchfork carrying yokels round these parts that think he's mid level Championship fodder... *see the other Peck thread and array of DMs I received earlier in the season for defending him.

He'll be in the PL next season and the only question is how much we get....

He looks like a player capable of being in a PL side in the near future. Imagine him with higher quality around him and I can see him flourishing.

We have to remember this is his 2nd full season. And you can see how he has progressed. Still has alot to improve on but that's normal.

I can't see us chasing down top 6. We need to keep trying because one or two of them could hit the rocks still.

But assuming not this summer out of our prized assets he is probably worth the most at this stage?

Depending on contracts I can see us selling Hamer (if he doesn't sign) and I think Peck is potentially most likely.

Just listened to his post match interview. That's a future captain.
Yeah he speaks like a head coach, so calm and collected. Providing no injuries if he does make the move in the summer (hoping not obviously) but to better himself I can see him quite easily at a Brentford or higher and easily England 1st team international in a few years time

He absolutely bossed that entire midfield today almost on his own - adding a creative aspect to his game by spraying incisive passes.
Admittedly the Hoops were poor , but if he can continue to develop the creative side to go with his natural defensive game , he's on course to the PL without a doubt.

It was a true captain's performance today , he was everywhere and did almost everything perfectly.
Ruben Selles madre him captain at Ipswich in his first game after all of the transfer window signings. Peck led the team to a 5.0 defeat, so that is his leadership qualities?
Also, an absolute crying shame about Arblaster and his ACL injury, because it would be a million times nicer if he was leading out the red and white stripes and not an arrogant cockney !

Can’t pin that result on Peck, the whole team was shit and the manager more so

He’s cockney by birth, but Blade at heart

Tie him to a long contract and build the team around him - more to come from the lad

Sydie Peck is everything I love about a footballer … not the most gifted but his mindset, work rate and general love of shit housing is brilliant … first name on the team sheet for me

The same people now saying Arblaster was crap before his injury, Maguire was too slow for the Championship and we'd had Everton's pants down for DCL no doubt.

He's no Liam Palmer that's for sure 😜🤣🤣🤣

Agree he’s great at sideways passing and retains possession well

BUT he’s really poor in front of goal, zero composure and struggles to get his shots on target, when they are on target they always seem to be blocked.
Another point is he rarely makes killer passes……he’s more a sideways passer to feet.

Altho he looks quite stylish on the ball….think his goals and goal creation weakness will probably keep his value below 15 million.
Compare this to Hamer…..he can be having a poor game (in fact his general play has been average in many games this season) but has that rare ability to score a goal from nothing or do a killer pass, these rare skills keep Hamers valuation higher.

A strength that I do like is Peck ALWAYS runs into space showing for the ball…..he’s a good player if your team like to play possession football.
Also love his personality, commitment and will to win. He loves to put in a tackle but due to his lack of pace sometimes mistimes his tackles.

A point that’s interesting and shows how fans think was
Remember early season when we were losing under Selles and in Wilders early return matches
I remember loads of our fans criticising Peck saying all he can ever do is pass it sideways without realising that last season passing it sideways keeping possession was fine because Hamer would provide the creativity but with Hamer struggling to create this season then Pecks lack of creativity stood out more.

Brentford is a good shout, as Andrews will have worked with him at our place, and know how much he contributes to attitude as well as to performance.

Whats funny about Peck, was around the same time he was getting pelters on here and the gang of village idiots were spewing their nonsense, the fans who actually went to matches were chanting his name. Funny that... It's as if those who actually go to games have less of an agenda on here.....

Rarely makes killer passes?

In the past week:
Killer pass to Burrows - resulting in the second goal Vs the pigs.
Against Cov, killer pass to Bamford in the first half.... Bamford misses a sitter.
Yesterday, killer pass to Campbell resulting in the second goal.

Do. You actually understand football?

People who say he’s not gifted are just plain wrong. But whether he’s Premier League gifted, only time will tell. I certainly think he’ll get a crack at it at some point, but might need another year at this level before being able to be mix it in a decent PL squad.

If that year is with us, and he stays fit, then he could be impossible to ignore by 2027. His mentality is so evidently premier league already.

Look at Rodri’s his scoring chart and Declan rice … I’m not saying he’s their level but he has a skill set that is similar
