Apologies, I was going to write a more detailed bio/description for each player, but got waylaid. Something is currently shitting on my front and rear lawns at Casa Copernicus, and i'm currently in the process of a.) trying to discover the culprit and b.) disposing of the oomska. Anyways, enough of the idle chitter-chatter & off we go.....

Riccardo Calafiori 20 yrs old - Basel - LWB/LCB - Italian u21 International.
He was extremely rated as a youngster at AS Roma, but suffered an ACL rupture in 2018. He possesses the speed and strength necessary to thrive as a modern full-back, and contributes to both the defensive and attacking phases of the game. He has impressive technical ability, good dribbling, accurate crossing and a powerful shot. Off the ball, he has the power, stamina and intelligence required in defence. He is reputed to have a good personality and character, both on & off the pitch.

He's 6ft 2 and because of this is used by Basel as a LCB in a 3 or as a LWB.

He's featured 21 times in the League this season & 6 times in the Europa Conference League. He has also played 3 times for the Italian u21's this campaign.

Basel bought him for £1m last summer, and his dream is to one day play in the PL.

There is more than a hint of the Anel's about him, I think.

I agree. But because we used a hopelessly flawed approach once doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try a different way or completely dismiss a potential market. That would be stupid.

Bord did that to feather his own nest.

He should be investigated.

Massive conflict of interest. A Bulgarian club struggling and then United’s naive owners drop by and send overinflated fees their way.

It stinks.
