After watching another cracker from YorkBlade and The Sheffield United Way team, I have been been pointed in the direction of SUTV by Youtube.

Hosted by Paul Walker, with Chris Morgan, Carl Asaba and Ellie Wilson.

Interviews with HRH Prince Abdullah, Nigel Clough, Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) and Stephen Quinn.

Also they will be speaking with Hecky and a selection of the lads, directly from the team hotel...

Anyway, availble free of charge via the below link at 19.30 tonight.

Sounds a cracker as well to be fair.

Always speaks directly, feel like he wouldn’t come out and do an interview if he wasn’t confident about the future

When asked about short term planning in light of legal sensitivities the response was " we have to plan as if we are here forever". Reference also to sitting down with PH and discussing plans for next season in the event of promotion being achieved. Gives the impression no one is pulling his strings and he is still very much in charge with no immediate prospect of a takeover happening. That could change again should we get over the promotion line.

He's right nothing has been achieved yet. Good to hear from him at last but its always easier to be seen and heard when everything in the garden is rosy. The true test of an owner/leader is to be visible during the difficult times. Thats an area he needs to be much better at starting with giving the players assurances when he meets them tonight that contract talks will progress rapidly now. That should give them a boost before tomorrows important occasion.

I actually took it the opposite way in that in case the sale doesnt go through to plan for the future. As in its progressing but till its signed on the dotted line you need to consider the future if not.

The Prince has been responsible for the dip in financial responsibility shown by the club during the EFL embargo on recruitment, and his policy on the club payment of outstanding bills from any source.
No doubt his family name has suffered too, due to the naivety of his support for prior management led player recruitment.
In short, he is unlikely to grant the same largesse to PH that he did to Wilder, in player recruitment.

Transfer and wage budgets will be much more closely scrutinized by the ownership/boardroom team. I do not anticipate a huge increase in playing staff in the summer, with each transaction carefully costed and sanctioned at higher levels.

Not much point in giving the manager money to spend on makeweight players, until the retained list is published. Borderline cases for contract renewal, like Norwood, Osborn and Robinson will be offered short contract renewals, probably at reduced value, and told to take it or leave it. As supporters, we need to accept the harsh reality of EPL life that we cannot afford higher quality players with 2 for each position, next season.

Basham is fortunate to have another year left, but the club is equally fortunate to have someone capable of an adequate number 2 job, but with the right attitude. We can accept the limitations and industry of JLT (love the guy) and Osborn for another season at least.

Given the financial limitations, recruitment scrutiny and careful use of the academy players and the loan market, I’m sure a sensible compromise can be achieved, within the limits advocated.
Our longer term future as a club is more important than splashing big money in hope of instant gratification. This does not exclude the signing of a few, fit for purpose, marquee players.

Good, it might make spending what we’ve got more wisely, we don’t need to be spent £130m on players that aren’t going to make the cut.

Clip from the Prince interview.

Ive watched this interview with PA a fews
now and it seems to me reading between the lines hes probably had a change of heart in selling the club...tbh it seems that the Dozy deal has gone off the boil....OR ....it might be a fact that it now looks like were getting promoted he'll be looking for more money ???

I read it as he's behaving as if nothing is changing ie spending as if relegation is a possibility like the last two premier league seasons but doesn't mean he's not selling. Was said he can't comment too fully due to legal reasons
