Wasablade last seen on the forum 8 weeks 5 days ago. Only posts negative and derogatory back in August. Hope he's ok.

How the fuck can we be involved in a relegation struggle in 6 games time?
So if he has,ent turned it completely around at the end of September hes failed?
End of September we are in a relegation fight!! I fucking despair
Enjoy your Summer Chrissy lad I know I will.

Wow, some posters had absolute Hammonds in here.

Thankfully, though I wasn't as supportive as many, I kept my gob shut. Think it was the Valium.

I can't believe we are even discussing it. He is 4 games in, inherited a toxic team from two discarded managers and a policy of sell before you really buy. He had players who were clogging up the salary budget. He has had a group of fans turn on his own players. He has a chairman who frankly has had enough but can't sell and lose money. He has turned the team inside out and some of us expect a Barcelona/Ajax dynasty to develop overnight. He has no youth really coming through, despite how much we hope. He has had some players with poor attitude and some with no attitude.

A battleship doesn't turn in a day and we should look at what has been achieved in the time he has been with us.

Come on, we all want more points but getting at Chris and the team isn't the way to do it.

We won't romp this league with what we have but when we are settled and supported more by loyal fans we might just make a good go of it.

The battleship most definitely has turned, albeit with a few new crew members, but most importantly a new Captain who knows how to get the ship where it needs to be and keep the crew happy. A few new ports next year and some bombardment of old enemies.

What's interesting looking back is that while many were defending Chris, they were often saying that he'd made some awful signings.

I think there were a couple of dodgy uns, though they didn't get a chance to impress since we we really hit out stride. Other than that, it's further reason to give players a longer chance rather than write them off within a month of them joining.

What a job this guy has done in a short time. It feels good to be a blade at the moment, hope I can say the same this time next year :)
