Rivers are like rats. It's hard to say who they belong to.

Your'e right. He was a crap geography teacher. Obsessed with how many frost free days you need to grow tobacco !
But I can still remember the names of these rivers - and in the right order.

He missed the river Humber too.

Someone in my class back in yesteryear locked our geography teacher in a cupboard, although she knew where she was she was never the same after that.

if she was called Miss Vine then I probably know you. If she wasn't then it must be something particular to geography teachers.

Conclusive proof it's a geography teacher's thing!

Our geography teacher used to sit in the cupboard in his classroom, which he used as an office.

I remember a day when we were in that room for English, and halfway through the lesson we heard a cough, the cupboard door opened and out he came...looking bewildered amongst a cloud of fag smoke!

Quick embarrassed nod at the English teacher and off he went

With all this evidence mounting up about geography teachers I'm seeing a prime time exposè and I believe that Piers Morgan is currently free.

To add somemore to that completely short list definitely missed off, Derwent, Ribble, Esk, arguably Tees, Foss that floods York most years, Dearne, Ure (possibly a pig on a windup but education has never been S6s strong point) Ure is a river not you 🤔😉
