I've been checking out the train prices and times from Kent to get up there. Not easy and not cheap!

But what I don't want to do is book and pay only for Sky to move the game. The peril of long distance fans as we march up the football league!

So, anyone know the deadline day after which they can't feck about with our lives please?

Only a suggestion and I know it will add to your expense but you could consider the cancellation cover when booking the tickets.

I think it's normally about £1.50.

They've already chosen their games for that part of the season, so the kick off time won't change AFAIK.

AFAIK really means Damski will personally reimburse you all out of pocket expenses if they do fuck about with the fixture.
Plus he'll pay your travel, overnight accommodation and bar tab for the rearranged date.
Who'd a thunk AFAIK meant all that?

If he is paying the bar bill, then get it moved! Travel and a room will be small change compared to the ale costs, especially if the wife comes along.. is there enough fancy wine in Sunderland is the question...

Thanks for the help fellas!

I trust you're not booking from Canterbury through to Sunderland and back. You can bring the cost down by splitting your booking, eg. Canterbury to Victoria then Kings X to say Doncaster, Doncaster to Newcastle then buy a metro ticket to Sunderland. Also if you are taking Mrs Canterbury get a two together rail card and save another third off.
Off course you might already have done all this, but just in case.
