new players would go for would be kieran lee if we can persuade him (i know hes a pig but hes a damm good midfielder), kemar roofe depending on asking price

We've more chance of seeing Francis Lee putting ridge tiles on a roof.

I'd look at Kemar Roofe at Oxford, Romaine Sawyers at Walsall & Marvin Sordell at Colchester

Was going to suggest , Kemar Roofe , but what do I know , I suggested going for Andre Gray when he was playing for Luton in the conference.

Jamie Proctor?! I think he looks a poor footballer. Just a worse version of Darius Henderson. Muscle and little else. I'm also surprised you'd go for Philliskirk. I don't think he's anywhere near good enough. Lee and Roofe are good players but unlikely IMO.

Gk: Happy with Long, not a priority position, just whack in a back up in the mould of when we signed Phil Barnes/Kristian Rodgers back in the day. Keeping Howard wouldn't be a disaster.
Defence: Would only keep Beard, Bash and Jay Mac from current crop and try to resign Edgar/Baptiste if wages are sensible. Need at least 3 on top of that, Aaron Pierre is a good shout.
Midfield: Got Reed, Whiteman, DCL, Coutts, Bash if not in defence, Flynn and Flo who might all be worth keeping on, and can see Hammons staying, but any combination of those players would struggle to even make the playoffs. Don't even know what we need to sort this mess out. Pace and an eye for goal out wide and hope we strike lucky with the next Conor Coady and Matt Phillips on loan. Wouldn't mind checking out George Francomb either.
Up top: Billy should be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Need a big nasty bastard to give another option on what we already have with Che/Done. Was also going to suggest Tom Nichols before realising Peterborough signed him in Jan

I understand why people start these threads but they are so pointless.

I would be amazed if United sign any of the suggested players in here. No one is ever even remotely in the ball park with player suggestions due to a mixture of non-realism and absolutely awful suggestions that even our club wouldn't entertain.

I'll save everyone a lot of time here. They will sign who they sign and it will probably lead to further disappointment.

People suggesting Kemar Roofe - I was at their game against Barnet today and he looks legit, failing to control a horribly sliced Barnet clearance on the stroke of half time that would have put him clean through aside. It'd only be a lateral move by the time we could buy him, so it's not happening. Decent shout could be Shomutun who came on for Barnet, tricky attacking player who's not afraid to have a run at people, only 18 and probably cheap. Sadly he's only about 5'8" so, like Messi, he'd automatically be ruled off most shortlists here
