All just my opinion of course...

Brewster played better than usual

Berge was ok, he gave it away a few times but also looked like the only one who might create something

McGoldrick had a bad game. Can't finish for shit but we knew that

Tempo of play too slow again

Boring to watch

No creativity

Very few options on the ball

Swansea were also crap overall

Just a shit game of football all round

Very underwhelmed seeing the subs coming on but they actually improved us slightly and Osborn - god bless his polyester socks - huffed and puffed forward, masquerading as a left winger better than what anyone else has offered thus far. Still, very painful to watch.

Team performance .................... dugshit

Didn’t think it was as bad as many are making out. Defensively pretty sound comparative to the weaknesses last week. Just no cohesiveness going the other way and a bit of a mess formation wise. Could try to see the plan, pack the line between our midfield and forward line to stop them playing through the lines which worked to an extent but seemed to be too many square pegs in round holes.

A long way to go but some signs of encouragement. Thought we were marginally the better side but nowt to shout out from the rooftops.

Berge was not ok.

That was possibly the most disappointing performance I have seen from a Sheffield United team in some time now, which is going some considering last seasons bore fest. Thing is I don't see a lot changing until Slav gets more of "his" players in. I know some advocate that while we have CW's players we should play the system they are used to, but that is never going to happen & I think that is the right call, we have already seen the latest iteration of "Wilderball" fail so why should Slav do that?
I felt sorry for Brewster tonight, he at least looked up for it despite being stuck put on the wing, looked lively & put a shift in. Thought when McBurnie came on he would go on the left & allow Brewster to go up the middle, made no sense to me to stick him out on the right, don't think he had a meaningful touch of the ball there.
Thought Sander was way off it tonight too, I am a huge fan but he didn't look right from the first minute for some reason.
It looks like it will take more than this transfer window for Slav to put put anywhere near a team that represents him too, & given he has a reputation of his teams starting slowly, we will have to be patient with him & the players, many of them don't look capable of adapting to new instructions after so long playing CWAK's system, but I get the feeling if they don't shape up they will not be playing much longer, at least when we have new bodies in.

I hope the players are given shooting practice at training, how many of our shots ended up in the crowd? (and it might be best if Osborne gives up shooting from range!)
