Faxon is the real deal in the goal.his distribution is second to none.
I agree on the whole, but his distribution was below his normal standard in the first half yesterday. Quite often Tahir was wide open on the left but Faxon saw him and kicked it right anyway. Maybe this is to do with him being left footed? I rate Faxon a lot.

Your right but with him being a lefty he will favour the pass out to the right but the lad is so calm on the ball ,and his two saves especially the last one was a worldy. Like his size to ,big enough but with razor sharp reflexes.

He's only 18 so it's exciting what he might develop into over the next three years. His all round game was excellent last night and his height wasn't a hindrance. He very much reminded me of Geary, and not just for the height, but with the face of Chris Morgan! Bless him. He certainly made the difference in securing the win.

He won premier league scholar of the year for Utd the other night.
He also went on a development loan this year down at Basford Utd down in Nottingham where he was well liked. Played against FC Utd of Manchester which was a great match. Nice ground that was.

Well done lads!

Marsh excellent again, really hope we can get a David Brooks style impact next year. Hampson is a favourite of mine, neat and tidy in the main, but also looks like he's one of those midfielders who can make a difference with quick footwork and running with the ball. He'll get a career somewhere.

Enjoyed Waldron's Geary-esque cameo, showed a ton of character, got chucked in and stepped up well. Pleased to see Aston doing well at U21 level, some nice first-time touches, was hoping he'd get chance to show what he can do with set-pieces as he has banged in a few free kicks for the U18s and takes a good corner. Hit the first man last night though! Next season he should hopefully kick on and be one of the main men for the u21s.

Faxon was impressive. A tall goalkeeper who commands his box and pulls off match winning saves. How we have missed that type of player in the first team. Birmingham pulled off a surprise result and beat Millwall the holders in the semis. They were bigger, stronger and slicker with their passing. Yet we saw a full 99 minutes of effort desire and pressing from the Blades. Credit to Collins the U21 coach for recognising the threat of Birminghams right winger and moving Dovy into the centre of the 3 during the game.

Dovy for me was the stand out player his positional sense throughout was spot on. Hard to believe he is still only 17 years old. When Brum brought on their big lumps towards the end he won all the headers at the back. Again something sadly lacking at first team level.

A thoroughly deserved result.

I thought faxon in goal was excellent two really good saves and owned the box
Yes I thought Faxon was excellent - made a couple of good saves but also his distribution is really great

I thought Faxon played well but there were a couple of occasions when he came for a high ball, flapped at them and the ball had to be cleared by United defenders.

All goalkeepers have these situations where the wrong decision is made or flapping at a cross
Including top-notch ones.
He's very young to play at championship level !, still if good enough why not.

Can be said I'm maybe going over the top with young Marshy! These are why he has to be around the first team next season.
Stats since he came back from two injuries he had to get up to speed for starters: played 16, goals 16 and 8 assists wow! didn't realise they were that good.
Good job we tied him down to a long contract.
