Inspired by the actual ballon d'or, I felt this was a good way to sum up a good 2014.

Next up: Best Team

The way this works is you have 11 votes. You can vote for any of the players that have made more than 1 apperance since the end of the January transfer window (except 1 month loanee Paddy McCarthy)

You must vote for a goalkeeper and at least 3 defenders. But the rest is up to you. And the 11 with the most votes will be team of the year.

Due to maximum capacity, if there is any player you want to vote for but I have missed out (Higdon and Paynter come to mind) just put them in a response post.

And feel free to post your team.

Personally:

---------------------Howard----------------
Brayford---Alcock---Maguire---Harris
----------------------Doyle------------------
Flynn----Coady----Scougall---Murphy
-----------------------Baxter----------------

Ive included Porter - simply because he gave the fans some of the best moments of the season. No doubt McNulty is better, but Porter has been here all of 2014 and gave us those moments.

I went

Howard
Brayford
Harris
Collins
Maguire

Doyle
Coady

Murphy
Bxter
Scougall

Porter

Howard
Brayford Maguire McEveley Harris
Doyle
Flynn Coady Scougall Murphy
McNulty
What I take from that is that we haven't replaced the three big players to leave in the summer (which is fairly obvious and has been done to death), but we have signed a good striker. Tough to leave out Baxter, but with the first 10 picked (and it's difficult to look beyond the midfield 5 that finished last season) McNulty offers so much more in that role than Baxter.

Howard
Brayford Maguire Basham Harris
Wallace
JCR Coady Scougall Murphy
Baxter

Howard
Brayford Maguire McEveley Harris
Doyle Coady
Flynn Scougall Murphy
